The former Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, and her husband, NFL running back Christian McCaffrey, are expecting their first child. “Next chapter, motherhood,” Olivia Culpo says in her recent Instagram post, which featured black-and-white photos from her maternity shoot in a flowy dress. A heartfelt video followed, capturing behind-the-scenes moments of parents-to-be.
It’s been a bumpy journey to pregnancy for Olivia, making this news all the more special and blessed. After being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2020, she had concerns about her fertility when she and Christian began planning for a family. “It could be really hard for me to have babies,” she revealed in a 2022 episode of The Culpo Sisters. “There is so much that I don’t know about what’s going to happen in the future with that condition, and I worry all the time about my timeline. I feel like I have to have kids ASAP.”
Olivia and Christian went on their first date after being set up by mutual friends. The first rumors about them being a couple surfaced in 2019, and by 2020, they had already gotten a puppy together.
Christian proposed during their vacation at Amangiri in Utah in 2023. The couple’s wedding took place last June and went viral because of the bride’s “modest” gown. The lovebirds exchanged vows in a 150-year-old chapel in Rhode Island and celebrated with a fun-filled reception at the Ocean House resort. And now they have a bun in the oven!
Olivia’s older sister Aurora says: “I know she’s going to be a really loving mother. I know that she’s going to be very prepared. I think she’s going to have everything in place. Probably already picking out her children’s preschool. At the moment, she’s probably already on the waitlist.”
