“The Best Part of Being Alive”: Dove Cameron and Damiano David Marry in Tuscany

Dove Cameron and Damiano David are married, and they took three days to do it. The celebrations began on September 24 with a civil ceremony at the historic town hall in Montalcino, and two days later, the couple hosted a larger wedding celebration at Castiglion del Bosco.

The weekend opened on Thursday, exactly three years after the couple’s first real date, with only their closest family and friends gathered at the Palazzo dei Priori, Montalcino’s medieval town hall where Dove and Cameron arrived together in a vintage convertible.

Both wore ivory tailoring. Cameron chose a custom Giorgio Armani suit with an elongated belted jacket and extra-wide-leg trousers, plus a one-shoulder cape where a train would usually be. She added a wide white tie and carried white calla lilies. David wore a double-breasted Giuliva Heritage suit with a silk scarf in place of a tie. The look fit what Cameron had told Vogue during the engagement: for her actual wedding day, she didn’t want anything “too traditional.”

Cameron later changed into a Blumarine dress, and back at Castiglion del Bosco the night ended underground in the resort’s hidden, library-like cellar, where the couple shared risotto with their guests and danced to a live band.

On Friday, the full guest list came together for the welcome dinner at a single long table running through the middle of the vineyards. It was draped in wine-red satin and lined with silver candelabras and cherub statues, with red grapes spilling over every surface. Dinner stayed deliciously simple, with fresh buffalo mozzarella and big bowls of paccheri al pomodoro. Cameron wore an Alberta Ferretti suit for the evening, while David chose Valentino, pairing a cream jacket with navy trousers and a burgundy scarf.

On Saturday, planner Alessandra Grillo and her team turned the ruins of the estate’s 12th-century castle into the ceremony site. Sheer white fabric cascaded down the stone terraces and steps, edged with greenery, white hydrangeas, and calla lilies.

The main ceremony brought the big dress as Cameron walked down the aisle with her mother in a flowing Valentino gown designed under creative director Alessandro Michele. Her veil was embroidered with crystals and micro-beads arranged as star constellations, a nod to her middle name, Celeste. Four days before the wedding, she visited Valentino’s ateliers in Rome for the final fitting and teared up when she first saw herself in the finished gown.

Dinner moved to the square of the estate’s medieval hamlet, where long tables glowed with candles and clusters of white roses. Cameron’s mother and sister both gave emotional speeches before the couple cut a towering cake covered in fresh fruit and flowers by Mami Louise. For the after-party, Cameron changed into a Roberto Cavalli dress with matching lace-up socks and Jimmy Choo heels.

Their story started at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where Cameron won Best New Artist, a category in which Måneskin was also nominated. The band congratulated her backstage, though she remembers David barely saying a word. A year later, at the same show, he approached her about a song they had worked on remotely. Both were single by then, and he invited her to Måneskin’s show at Madison Square Garden and the after-party that followed, and soon they started dating. David proposed at home in October 2025, and Cameron told Vogue she was completely barefaced because she had no idea it was coming. The engraved rings from Bernini High Jewelry match too. His reads “The best part of being alive,” while hers says “My favourite part of being alive.”
