It happened. On July 3rd, 2026, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and the entire city knew it the moment pink lights flashed around the arena and a jumbotron lit up with the words: “JUST&T MARRIED!”

The Ceremony
Both Swift and Kelce are 36. The couple, who got engaged in August 2025, married in front of approximately 1,000 guests. The ceremony was officiated by longtime friend and comedian Adam Sandler. Swift’s brother Austin Swift served as her Man of Honor, while Travis’s brother, retired NFL player Jason Kelce, stood as best man. There was no traditional wedding party.
The Venue
Festivities began on July 2nd with a rehearsal dinner at 6 p.m. in the Infosys Theater at MSG, attended by around 100 close family and friends. The wedding ceremony itself started at approximately 5 p.m. on July 3rd, with the celebration permitted to last until 4 a.m. the following morning. The arena was completely transformed for the occasion, with celebrity event planners comparing the production process to making a blockbuster film.
The Guests
The guest list was a who’s who of Swift’s world — spanning pop, sport, film, and fashion. Among those spotted arriving: Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Benson Boone, Abby Wambach, Cooper Kupp, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, and Ed Sheeran, who is a longtime friend and collaborator of Swift’s. The guest list also included Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Sabrina Carpenter, Ice Spice, Bradley Cooper, Karlie Kloss, and country stars including Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, and Maren Morris. Beyoncé and Jay-Z were also among the high-profile invitees.
The dress code was black tie: floor-length gowns for women, tuxedos with black bow ties and satin-striped trousers for men. A colour story quickly emerged from the arrivals: plum, wine, and berry tones alongside black and softer champagne and neutral looks appeared to be the wedding’s palette — a combination that felt distinctly Taylor, equal parts romantic and rich.
The Charity Donation
In the days ahead of the wedding, the lovebirds donated $26 million to at least 20 charities across the United States. Nine of the organizations are based in New York, including City Harvest Food Rescue Center, Food Bank for NYC, New York Cares, Education Through Music, and two children’s hospitals: Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone and MSK Kids at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The wider list reflects the places the couple has called home: the Rhode Island Community Food Bank — near Swift’s Watch Hill estate — and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, where Kelce plays for the Chiefs.
The couple also asked guests not to bring gifts.
Why $26 million? The number isn’t coincidental. 26 is 13 doubled, and 13 is Taylor Swift’s most documented lucky number. She was born on December 13th, has spoken about the number repeatedly throughout her career, and famously writes it on her hand before performances. Doubling it for the biggest occasion of her life feels entirely on brand — one more Easter egg hidden in plain sight, for anyone paying attention.
The City's Reaction
The Empire State Building announced on social media that it had lit up in “something blue” in celebration of the wedding. Thousands of Swifties lined the streets around MSG for hours in sweltering heat, holding signs and hoping to catch a glimpse of arriving guests. When the “JUST&T MARRIED!” announcement appeared on screens outside the arena, the crowd erupted.
Swift, who once told Heart Radio that she “never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want” for a wedding until she met the right person, appears to have finally had her answer — and it came in the form of 1,000 guests, the world’s most famous arena, and a city that stopped for a night to watch her say “I do.”
