Finneas O’Connell and Claudia Sulewski tied the knot on August 29 at a California estate, with none other than Billie Eilish officiating the ceremony. The couple, who matched on a dating app in September 2018 and got engaged seven years later, described the day as the happiest of their lives. “A new feeling unlocked for the both of us,” Finneas told Vogue.

The ceremony opened with nine string musicians and a pianist playing a cover of “Angel” by Finneas, a personal request from the bride. Claudia wore a custom silk faille ballgown with a neck scarf detail by Oscar de la Renta, one of four custom looks she commissioned with her stylist Thomas Christos Kikis for the entire wedding weekend. The rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and afterparty each had their own look, including a bias-cut satin gown and a gray-and-pink bubble-skirt mini for the speakeasy afterparty that closed out the night.

For the reception, Finneas performed “Till Forever Falls Apart” with collaborator Ashe before Billie joined the stage to sing “Birds of a Feather.” After the bouquet toss, the night ended with dancing that Claudia described as “a celebration of love and life, beyond the union of just two individuals.”
