Alessandra Ambrosio is getting married. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel announced her engagement to Australian jewelry designer Buck Palmer on Instagram, sharing a series of photos and a drone video from the proposal, a heart carved into the sand and filled with rose petals, with Palmer down on one knee inside it. The proposal itself had actually taken place four months earlier, in April, on Nihi Sumba Island in Indonesia, with the couple choosing to keep the moment private before sharing it publicly. “I’d choose you in this life and every life. Here’s to forever, my love,” Ambrosio wrote alongside the photos.

The pair kept the styling barefoot and beach-simple for the moment itself: Ambrosio in a cream two-piece, Palmer in black shorts with no shirt, both makeup and shoes left out of it entirely. One detail did make it into the photos deliberately, though: the couple revealed matching heart-shaped tattoos near their wrists.

Ambrosio and Palmer were first linked in December 2024, going Instagram official that month, and were later spotted together on vacation in Rio de Janeiro the following January. Palmer, whose brand describes itself as built around “adventure, stepping into the unknown,” publicly confirmed the relationship himself in a year-end recap post, calling Ambrosio the partner who made 2024 the year he found and fell in love.
This will be Ambrosio’s first marriage; he was engaged to businessman Jamie Mazur from 2008 to 2018 but never married him. The two share two children, Anja and Noah. For Palmer, it will be a second marriage, having previously been married to Australian model Ashley Hart.
