A blurry paparazzi photo, a lockscreen caught by accident, a kiss at a red light- nothing has ever been confirmed until it absolutely had to be, and even then, only just barely.
What started with a chance meeting at a Paris fashion show in 2023 quietly became a three-year relationship carried out almost entirely offstage, red carpets skipped, interview questions deflected, privacy guarded at every turn, until Chalamet finally said it out loud from a podium in front of the entire industry. January 2023: A Meeting in Paris
At the start of the year, Jenner split from Travis Scott, the father of her two children, Stormi and Aire. Not long after, she crossed paths with Chalamet at the Jean Paul Gaultier show during Paris Couture Week. A video of the two laughing together would later resurface and spread once dating rumors kicked in that spring.
April 2023: New Couple Alert
DeuxMoi posted the photo that started it all, captioned simply “NEW COUPLE ALERT.” Speculation picked up fast after Jenner’s black Range Rover was spotted parked outside Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home.
July 2023: An Ex Weighs In
Travis Scott released his album Utopia that month, and fans immediately zeroed in on the track “Meltdown,” where he seemed to reference both Jenner’s new romance and Chalamet’s role in Wonka. “Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs, got the Willy Wonka factory,” he rapped. “Burn an athlete like it’s calories, find another flame hot as me, bitch.”
September 2023: The Public Debut
On September 4, Jenner and Chalamet made their first public appearance together at a Beyoncé concert, caught on camera staying close throughout the show, with TMZ later obtaining footage of the two kissing. Weeks later, on September 21, ELLE Mexico photographed Jenner at Prada’s fashion show with Chalamet visible as her phone lockscreen, a small, likely unintentional confirmation of where things stood.

November 2023: Award Season Debut and a Mother's Blessing
The couple attended the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards together on November 1; Jenner was honored with a Brand Award while Chalamet presented the Film Award to Martin Scorsese. Ten days later, when Chalamet hosted Saturday Night Live, Kris Jenner reposted the show’s promo on her Instagram Story with a simple, “Tune in to SNL tonight!”, about as close to a public blessing as fans would get.
January 2024: The Golden Globes Kiss
The two skipped the red carpet at the Golden Globes but were caught on camera kissing at their table, sparking a wave of lip-reading theories from fans convinced they’d spotted an “I love you.”

March 2024: Still Not Talking About It
Nearly a year into the relationship, Jenner remained guarded in interviews. Asked by The New York Times whether dating Chalamet had changed her style, she deflected. “I don’t know how I feel about that. I just don’t want to talk about personal things.”
August 2024: Choosing Privacy
In a British Vogue interview, Jenner finally addressed her silence directly. “Privacy is so important to me in life,” she said, attributing it to growing up without much of her own. “It feels so good.” She revealed she’d found ways to see Chalamet in New York unnoticed. “There’s an angle that you can do where they can’t see your face, and I wear a mask.” The same week, photos surfaced of the two leaving a private jet together after Chalamet joined her on a cruise for her 27th birthday.
Early 2025: Award Season, On Repeat
The couple showed up together at nearly every major ceremony without ever walking a red carpet as a pair: the Golden Globes on January 5, the Grammys on January 31, the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 11, the Berlinale Palast on February 14, the BAFTAs on February 16, and the Oscars on March 2.

March 2025: Courtside at the BNP Paribas Open
On March 9, the two attended the tennis tournament together, caught on camera kissing, with Jenner holding Chalamet’s hand throughout.
April 2025: His Mother Speaks
Chalamet’s mother, Nicole Flender, was asked directly about Jenner in a Curbed interview. Her answer was warm and simple. “I have to say she’s lovely. She’s very nice to me.”
May 2025: The Red Carpet Debut
On May 7, the two finally walked a red carpet together for the first time, hand in hand at the 70th David di Donatello ceremony in Rome, where Chalamet received a Cinematic Excellence award. Designer Haider Ackermann shared a FaceTime screenshot of the two getting ready, Jenner lint-rolling his black velvet Tom Ford suit, captioning it, “TEAMWORK, Miss K, you’re hired!!” Days later, the couple showed up in coordinating merch to watch the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals.

August 2025: "Very Serious," According to a Source
A source told PEOPLE the two were still very much together, chalking up their time apart to packed schedules rather than anything more serious. “They haven’t seen each other for a few weeks only because Timothée’s been filming Dune in a studio in Budapest, and Kylie’s been working too,” the source said. “She visited him in July.”
Around the same time, Chalamet addressed the relationship in Vogue by declining to address it at all. “And I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say.”
October 2025: Backstage Support
Fresh off Paris Fashion Week, Jenner flew to New York to support Chalamet at a secret screening of Marty Supreme during the New York Film Festival. While Chalamet joined the cast on stage, Jenner stayed backstage, cheering him on out of view.
December 2025: Matching in Orange
After a couple of quiet months, the two reemerged at the LA premiere of Marty Supreme on December 8 in coordinated head-to-toe orange looks by Chrome Hearts, inspired by ping pong balls. Jenner completed the look with an orange manicure and orange blush, while Chalamet paired his suit with a black paddle-shaped crossbody bag and fully orange Timbs.

January 2026: Saying It Out Loud
Jenner joined Chalamet at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards on January 3 and the Critics Choice Awards the following night, where he won Best Actor for Marty Supreme. Accepting the award, he finally said what he’d avoided saying in interviews for years. “Thank you to my partner of three years,” he said, as the camera found Jenner in the crowd. “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
The next day, he soft-launched the relationship on Instagram with a photo of Jenner’s hand holding his Golden Globe trophy.

March 2026: One Last Red Carpet, and a Shared Vacation
Jenner was Chalamet’s plus-one again at the Oscars, once more skipping the red carpet to join him inside. Later that month, on March 30, the two appeared to document the same tropical vacation without ever appearing in a photo together. Jenner posted a carousel captioned simply “heaven,” featuring white sand beaches and turquoise water. Chalamet posted his own carousel days later with strikingly similar scenery, shirtless beach shots, and a ride on a red jet ski nearly identical to one Jenner had posted just days before.

April–May 2026: More Courtside Dates
Kylie and Timothée attended a Knicks playoff game on April 28 at Madison Square Garden, sitting in the front row. Weeks later, on May 6, the two returned for another game, this time as the team faced the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2026 NBA Playoffs. A video shared by People captured Timothée holding hands with Kylie, laughing as the two walked to their seats and greeted people along the way.
