December 2023: Soft Launch Season
December was the month everything shifted. Selena confirmed in an Instagram comment on December 7 that she and Benny had been dating privately for six months. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Benny admitted he was “the last one to know” he was in love with Selena.
“It’s crazy how your partner could just be sitting there the whole time, right in front of your eyes, and you don’t even notice, and then you have that Clueless moment where you’re like, ‘Wait, I’m in love.’”
May 2024: Dreams of a Family
Selena revealed in TIME that she once considered adopting on her own if she was still single by 35. Meeting Benny shifted everything: “It just happens when you least expect it,” she shared.
