In Positano, Villa Treville sits perched on the cliffs above the Tyrrhenian Sea, carrying the cosmopolitan glamour of a bygone era layered with the flavors of southern Italy. Spread across four separate villas surrounded by lush gardens, hidden terraces, and ancient tropical plants, it holds onto the feel of a private summer residence while delivering hospitality that’s fully five-star from the moment guests arrive. In Rome, Hotel Locarno sits tucked on a quiet road just off Piazza del Popolo, steps from the luxury shopping of Via Condotti. Family-owned since the 1960s, its 1920s Art Deco interiors have been carefully preserved, making it a longtime favorite among artists, filmmakers, writers, and fashion insiders. During their stay in the city, Dua and Callum were also spotted around Rome, including an evening at the Trevi Fountain.

One of Dua and Callum’s stops was San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Sicily, which shot to global fame as the filming location for Season 2 of The White Lotus. Built into a restored 14th-century convent high above the Ionian Sea with sweeping views toward Mount Etna, it’s long been one of Taormina’s standout addresses, and an easy, glamorous choice for the couple’s honeymoon. Guests swim in a clifftop infinity pool, wander through fragrant Italian gardens, or simply take in the coastline for as long as they’d like.

One of the most distinctive stops of the whole trip was Bernalda, a quiet hill town in Basilicata, home to Palazzo Margherita. The nine-suite property is restored and owned by filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, who turned this 19th-century palazzo into a hotel as a tribute to his grandfather, who emigrated from the region to the United States. Dua shared photos from the stay on Instagram, including a screening of Vittorio De Sica’s 1948 film Bicycle Thieves, a nod that fits the property’s cinematic roots perfectly.

In Tropea, Calabria, Villa Paola occupies a 16th-century building originally part of a Franciscan convent. The boutique property, just fourteen bedrooms in total, reopened this spring after a lengthy renovation, and it still holds onto original architectural details, vaulted ceilings, cloisters, now set against minimalist interiors and terraced gardens overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Quietly serene and genuinely luxurious at the same time.

About one hour outside Rome, in Palo Laziale, La Posta Vecchia is a grand seaside retreat once favored by Roman emperors before being rebuilt into a 17th-century Renaissance villa. Guests here are surrounded by centuries of history, tapestries, marble busts of Roman emperors, and antiques including a map by Giovanni Battista Piranesi, one of the greatest printmakers in history, the kind of detail that makes the whole property feel closer to a private museum than a hotel.
