Anthony Zhang and McKenna Weinstein met during their first year of College at the University of Southern California when they lived in the dorms together. They started dating sophomore year in 2015.
In 2016, Anthony suffered a spinal cord injury, and Makenna paused her studies to take care of him full-time and rehabilitate him over the next year. Anthony proposed to McKenna in August 2020, and they married in October 2021.
Despite their wedding day so far, we could not resist seeing this touching and beautiful wedding in Orange Blossom Special Events‘ massive portfolio. It was absolutely magical in every way! And we are proud to share these special moments of love with everyone else.
McKenna looked stunning in her Monique Lhuillier iconic dress, completed with Jimmy Choo shoes. Anthony preferred a tux from a private client menswear brand Mark Pomerantz and a boutonniere style by Enchanted Garden Floral Design.
McKenna highly recommends a first look: “It was amazing to be able to share a private moment before the big event began. We also really loved making our vows in private. It gave us a moment of calm to focus on each other before going out to the reception.”
The lovebirds love wine, and when they were thinking about their wedding venue and discussing this with their incredible planner Orange Blossom Special Events, they wanted something that was close to Los Angeles but in a private location where it did not feel at all like you were in LA. Anthony and McKenna brought their 10-month-old puppy, Duke, to their wedding! He walked down the aisle and sat with all the groomsmen like a good boy.
After saying I do, the newlyweds kissed, and the bride landed, lost her balance, and fell down the aisle!
“We were mortified at the moment, but we now look back on it very fondly. We also chose to make our vows privately, which was truly special.”
Neutral tones and Malibu hills are a perfect combo!
McKenna had a second dress for the reception. It was great to be able to dance around and move freely without having to worry about bustling up a long train.
