An Elopement in Hidden Paradise

Nestled in the verdant paradise of Bali, this inspirational shoot captured the essence of romance and natural beauty through the lens of the talented photographer Amy Huang. Set against the backdrop of lush rice fields and the enchanting views of Bali, this shoot is a visual ode to love and serenity, encapsulating the magic that this place exudes.

The editorial, planned by Amanda of AMV Weddings & AMV Retreats, was part of an immersive photography retreat in Bali, Indonesia. After two days steeped in wedding designs and formal clothing, Amanda wanted to create a getaway into the quiet after the celebration. The elopement was designed to showcase the essence and rich character of the jungle region of Ubud at the iconic Hideout and Great Mountain View Resort. The breathtaking views of the lush landscape and picturesque Mount Batur provided a stunning backdrop, making this shoot a perfect blend of adventure and romance.

Taking in some of the unique sights of Bali—its treehouse surrounded by jungle and rice patties spanning acres and acres of land—this was a shoot that takes in these breathtaking natural beauties.

The couple’s journey began in a hideaway treehouse, where the soothing sounds of the jungle enveloped them. The gentle rustling of leaves, the distant calls of exotic birds, and the soft murmur of the flowing water beneath created an atmosphere of peace and serenity. This environment set the stage for capturing genuine and candid moments that speak volumes about their love story.

The idyllic bedroom space, draped in soft, sheer fabrics, created a whimsical and intimate backdrop for their portraits. The bungalow’s natural materials and minimalist design complemented the lush surroundings, allowing the couple’s connection and the beauty of nature to take center stage. The bride’s stunning swimwear from Karen Sabag Rever added a touch of elegance to the frame. The delicate lace details and the sophisticated cuts created a perfect harmony.

The floating breakfast was a lavish spread meticulously arranged on a beautiful wicker tray that drifted gently in the pool. It included a variety of exotic fruits, adding vibrant splashes of color against the serene blue water. Freshly baked bread and pastries, along with local jams and butter, provided a delightful start to the day. Two glasses of chilled champagne sat elegantly on the tray. The lovebirds toasted their future and enjoyed the drink before the big day.

After a relaxing morning, the couple proceeded to exchange their vows with the iconic Mount Batur volcano and sprawling rice fields as their backdrop. Their attire complemented the natural surroundings perfectly—his sharp navy suit contrasts beautifully with her elegant satin gown, flowing gracefully as they move. The bride wore a sleek, long gown by OUMA Couture with a low bun updo, a relaxed and understated look perfect for an elopement.

Everything was natural, simple, and chic. With feminine details like the bow in the back, the dress accentuated the body and allowed the beauty of simplicity to come through.

The resort’s panoramic views offered a breathtaking backdrop for the couple’s nuptials. The serene surroundings made the intimate elopement unforgettable.

Amy Huang skillfully encapsulated the tender moments shared between the couple. From the joyous lift of the bride by her groom to the delicate walk hand-in-hand through the rice fields, every frame told a story of love and connection.

The talented vendors, careful planning, and beautiful photography all came together to create a memorable and stunning editorial. This photoshoot in Bali can inspire couples looking for an intimate and nature-filled wedding experience, with each frame offering a glimpse into the paradise that awaits.
