With his latest runway staged in Château de Versailles’ l’Orangerie, Simon Porte Jacquemus continues to redefine modern French fashion with a soft, soulful edge.
The new “Le Paysan” collection is a love letter to the designer’s Provençal roots — equal parts nostalgic and high fashion. Think countryside elegance reimagined through sculptural silhouettes, sheer layers, and an accessory lineup that feels both cheeky and collectible.

It’s Jacquemus at his most personal: white linen jackets, cloud-like tulle skirts, rustic aprons styled like couture. The silhouettes feel breezy but intentional — smocked bodices, exaggerated shapes, and dramatic layers that move like poetry. Fabrics lean into the natural: cotton, crisp poplin and slinky satin. Everything is grounded in that undone French sensuality — nothing too perfect, everything perfectly felt.

Accessories go full Jacquemus: raffia baskets, veggie and berry-shaped clutches (yes, literally), and sculptural bags. On the footwear side? Platform espadrilles, chunky mules, and walkable heels that bring a soft toughness.

Masculine pieces bring heirloom elegance, with linen jackets and leather-accented trousers echoing Provençal charm. The color palette transitions from cream and white to sugar-almond pastels and classic black, softly tying the collection to the wedding-day territory —ideal for both brides and grooms with a taste for modern romance.
