Skin Is In

A derivative of the soft-glam and ‘no makeup’ wedding makeup trends (which remain popular) is the ethereal skin trend, allowing the natural texture to show through.

Skin preparation is everything for this look, so make sure your skin is well-hydrated. “I always recommend regular hydro facials and dermaplaning to my brides leading up to their big day. Hydro facials keep your skin looking hydrated and plump, while dermaplaning acts as an exfoliant and removes the top layer of peach fuzz from our faces, allowing makeup to go on smoothly and seamlessly blend into the skin,” shares Nicole.

Nicole suggests adding glow or bronzing drops to your foundation for a youthful glow and more sheer coverage. “Currently, I’m obsessed with the Saie Super Gel Luminizer and one of my all-time favorites is Drunk Elephant’s D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine drops.

Doll Blush

Blush is big in 2024. Applying blush to the apples of the cheeks and lightly across the bridge of the nose creates a youthful look and enhances the cheekbones. Opt for cream blushes over powders for a more natural finish. Nicole says: “We adore a good cream blush, bronzer, and highlighter for a more natural look that melts into the skin. We love the Makeup by Mario Soft Pop Blush Sticks and Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. Just a dab of this beautiful pigmented blush goes a long way!”

Fluffy Brows

Brow trends are continuously evolving, shifting towards a softer and more natural look. Following the natural shape and fullness of brows by lightly filling in any gaps as necessary is becoming increasingly popular.

Monochromatic Makeup

For a chic and contemporary look, consider opting for a monochromatic style. This cohesive approach elevates your makeup and creates one mood. Celebrities have been noticed wearing strawberry, pumpkin spice (turning to Peach Fuzz), and latte makeup. The last one uses warm brown tones that blend seamlessly across the eyes, lips, and cheeks.

To achieve this look, use bronzer powder on your eyes, forehead, cheeks, and jawline. Nicole’s favorite is Hourglass Ambient Lightening Bronzer. It goes on smooth and gives a great natural glow to the skin. To complete the look, use a brown liner along the lash line and smudge it out to create a soft, sultry look. Add the brown liner to the waterline for a little more depth. For the lips, try a nude brown tone liner and blend it towards the center of the lips for a natural ombre look.

Pops of Color

While the total leans towards minimalism and cleanliness, there’s a growing interest in using accent colors to make a statement among brides. Alongside the classic peaches and pinks, there’s a flow in popularity for cool tones. According to Pinterest Predicts’ 2024 report, blue stands as an upcoming trend. This color, by the way, complements brown eyes beautifully. Additionally, silver is gaining love not just in decor but also in beauty. You can wear these colors via liner, eyeshadow, and mascara.

If you prefer to emphasize your lips, opt for bold, cherry, or even vampy shades. These colors exude elegance, especially on darker skin tones. For brides opting for red lips, consider pairing them with green or olive eyeshadow for a striking look. These complementary hues create a vibrant and classic combination that can be adapted to match various skin tones, particularly flattering on those with green eyes. Highlight a feature you love and accentuate your bridal look.
