Chinese bridal house Marrow showed its 2027 collection at New York Bridal Fashion Week, and the campaign that came with it looks like a fairy-tale party. There are tiny cake headpieces, sheer opera gloves, and gowns in classic white with soft pops of pale pink, lemon and sky blue. It’s hands down one of the dreamiest collections of the season, and there’s a real idea under all that sugar.

Designer Marrow Tang built her 2027 collection around Puella Aeterna, Carl Jung’s archetype of the eternal girl. If that sounds a little childish, Tang’s own collection notes have an answer. Embracing that girl “is not a rejection of maturity, but rather a way to let our light, pure imagination and vitality help us become more whole.” The girl who believed in wishes and lived in her party dress still lives inside the grown woman, and she deserves a place at the altar too. So the Marrow bride shows up as all of her selves at once. After several seasons of quiet, minimal brides, that feels like a welcome change of mood.

The clothes back up the theory. Tulle comes in tiers, from full ballgowns to bouncy midi skirts. Sleeves bloom into oversized organza roses, and lace, satin and tulle trade places from look to look. Up close, the whimsy turns out to be serious craft. The Chengdu-born house mixes Sichuan Shu embroidery with French crochet beadwork, and the bows, daisies and wings are 3D printed with a porcelain-like finish. Kitsch is easy. Kitsch this precise takes a real atelier.
