The vision for the wedding was inspired by the Adriatic charm the couple experienced during their travels through Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. The bride dreamed of a celebration that balanced elegance with nature. They found the perfect setting in Villa Viko, an Italian-style estate near Novi Sad, Serbia, where they could marry under the open sky surrounded by lush greenery. Choosing Serbia as their wedding destination felt deeply personal, a way to honor their shared roots and heritage. With the guidance of Nar Events, they brought their dream celebration to life, creating a day that reflected both their journey and their love story.
Couple's Morning & Fashion
Natalija wore a mermaid-style lace gown by WONÁ Concept, with a dramatic open back and elegant high neckline. She wore it with satin open-toe Jimmy Choo heels, sparkling diamond earrings, and a delicate bouquet of peonies. Her beauty look was done by Anastasija Poznanovic and Vasilisa Maljm. For the church and morning photo session, she chose an elegant updo to support her veil. Later, for the civil ceremony and reception, her hairstyle shifted to soft, flowing curls that perfectly echoed the natural elegance of the venue and celebration.
Adding a deeply personal touch, both the bride and groom wore perfumes specially created the day before in a Belgrade perfume shop. Each fragrance was chosen by the other, a symbolic gesture that became a lasting scent memory of their wedding day.
Sebastijan wore a white tuxedo from Suitsupply, styled with a classic black bow tie and classic shoes. His look was completed with Suitsupply cufflinks, a wedding band, and his favorite Breguet watch, a detail that added a personal touch to his wedding day look.
First Look
Before the ceremony, the couple shared a first look that was both emotional and unforgettable. It gave them a quiet moment together before the celebrations started, and the excitement was noticeable. Dusan Marceta was capturing every glance, smile, and tear with their signature talent.
Church Ceremony
The day began with a traditional Serbian Orthodox ceremony at the historic Cathedral of Saint Michael in Belgrade, accompanied by a live church choir. For Natalija, incorporating the religious aspect into their wedding was non-negotiable — the Orthodox church ceremony carried both deep personal meaning and cultural significance. Rich with centuries-old symbolism, the 30-minute ceremony included the exchange of rings, the crowning of the couple, and the ceremonial walk around the altar — each ritual marking their union as sacred and eternal.
Civil Ceremony
Later, the civil ceremony at the venue brought a more personal touch, highlighted by a heartfelt speech from the groom’s best man that moved both the couple and their guests to tears. The setting was beautifully styled with lush greenery and florals, creating an atmosphere that felt effortlessly romantic.
With friends and family flying in from across the world, the celebration carried an even deeper sense of meaning. Natalija and Sebastijan made sure to pause, take it all in, and share a quiet realization: “We did this. And all these people came for us.”
Reception Decor
For the reception, long caterpillar-style rows of tables were set beneath airy white draping. The layout gave the intimacy and warmth of a small wedding while keeping the lighthearted, relaxed feel of a celebration without strict formality. Classic summer hydrangeas were paired with smoke bush, delphiniums, and dramatic cascades of hanging amaranthus, creating a floral story that was full of movement. The decor came to life through the photos of Catic Weddings, who turned every detail into a frame-worthy story.
Designed and styled by the talented team at Nar Events, who grew close to the couple throughout the planning process, the venue was transformed into a romantic oasis. Green and nude tones echoed the natural surroundings, while fresh local apples on the tables brought a playful seasonal touch. Personalized details tied everything together: custom signage and stationery, an organic circular seating chart displayed on a tree, and matching place cards and table numbers set in marble holders. Together, these thoughtful touches created a warm, Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere with a distinctly Adriatic spirit.
Celebration
The celebration buzzed with energy from start to finish, with a live band keeping the dance floor alive and guests fully immersed in the moment. Laughter, music, and clinking glasses filled the air, creating a chic and joyful vibe. The cake by Vanilica Cake Shop was a showstopper, both visually stunning and delicious, perfectly ending an unforgettable night of love, laughter, and celebration.
