The Vampire Diaries Star, actor Michael Trevino, and Dutch model Bregje Heinen tied the knot in a dream wedding along Spain’s sunny coast on June 20, 2025.
The couple exchanged vows at a historic villa overlooking the Mediterranean, just outside Barcelona, surrounded by lush gardens and ocean views.
The ceremony featured green-and-white floral arrangements, a grass-covered aisle, and a custom Katherine Tash gown that transformed into a Galia Lahav reception dress. The wedding doubled as a mini-reunion for The Vampire Diaries and The Originals cast, with close friends and co-stars, including Nina Dobrev, Candice King, Zach Roerig, Kayla Ewell, and showrunner Julie Plec. The cast shared behind-the-scenes moments on social media, with Dobrev calling the weekend “the most beautiful,” while others posted photos of the newlyweds and their “once-in-a-lifetime love.”
Heinen and Trevino first met via a dating app in October 2019 and became inseparable after quarantining together in early 2020. Trevino proposed on Christmas Eve 2023 in the Netherlands, with Heinen’s grandmother by her side for the momentous occasion. Their love story came full circle with a wedding that felt intimate, cinematic, and timeless along the Mediterranean coast.
