Concept Behind the Shoot
This styled shoot was inspired by bold citrus hues, which perfectly matched the venue’s lush greenery and rustic brick backdrop. Drawing inspiration from an “Italian summer,” Kate Kinsella Events incorporated lemons and various fruits to convey the essence of Mediterranean alfresco dining. A delightful blend of cheerful light yellow, vibrant orange, and soft peach created a balanced and energetic palette that radiated warmth and romance. The interplay of varied textures in the decor created the charming ambiance of dining in a private garden.

The pearl accents added another hint of shimmer, catching the light without overwhelming the design. For the hair SB Beauty by Sharon Baker opted for a timeless up-do, adding a classic touch to the overall look. The makeup was natural and warm-toned, enhancing the model’s features with a soft, radiant glow.

The Foundry LIC is a beautifully restored 19th-century gem in Long Island City, where industrial charm meets modern versatility. Its raw interior, lush outdoor courtyard, indoor greenhouse, and rooftop terrace with breathtaking Manhattan skyline views create an unforgettable atmosphere. Abundant greenery and natural light provide the perfect, dreamy backdrop for a garden-inspired celebration.
The lounge zone, created with the help of Rent Quest, featured a mustard-hued sofa set against a vine-covered wall. A patterned rug added warmth and coziness to the space. These elements formed a relaxed yet stylish ambiance perfect for unwinding and soaking in the celebration.
Outdoor Bar
The bar design served as a statement piece embracing the citrus-inspired theme. A sleek black bar counter contrasted beautifully with the florals and fruit accents. Lush arrangements of lemons, oranges, and blossoms tied the composition together. Gold-framed menus by The Jess Press listed signature cocktails like the Old Fashioned and Paper Plane, which were chosen for their amber tones and citrus notes. The blend of bold contrasts, bright colors, and sophisticated details created a captivating bar setup.
Reception Design
Bathed in natural light from the vast windows, the reception space exuded an inviting and breezy charm. Elegant round tables and round-backed chairs contributed to the harmonious ambiance. The reception design radiated playfulness, warmth, and sophistication. Rosehip Social Florist’s whimsical arrangements beautifully contrasted with the textured linen tablecloths.
Sunset-peach napkins echoed the delicate blooms, while dark-yellow and orange candles of varying heights added depth and dimension to the setup. Amber water goblets mirrored the golden hues of the florals and citrus, while the delicate silver cutlery reflected the flickering candlelight, adding a magical touch to the setting.
One of the most unique elements is the use of dried orange slices as name cards. This creative and personal touch connected masterfully to the citrus theme and added more texture to the design. The menu by The Jess Press featured handmade paper with soft raw edges and a soft, airy font. Subtle orange accents complemented the citrus hues, while the clean layout allowed the vibrant details of the reception decor to shine.
The white cream cake by Buttermilk Bakeshop New York looked simple and playful, decorated with sliced oranges and lemons. To make the cake table stand out and tie together all the vivid sunset tones, the bold floral-patterned linen was used.
