Moroccan design has a quiet warmth, minimalist in its lines and rich in color and architecture, and this editorial at Amanjena set out to show that wedding destinations reach well past the classic French château or Italian villa. Corinna Keiser, who photographed it, had long loved that balance and hoped to shoot a wedding in Morocco soon.

When Amal from Wild Love Weddings reached out, Corinna jumped at the chance. Amal wanted a fresh, non-traditional story and knew she needed the right photographer to bring it to life, and Corinna came on not just to shoot but to help shape the project, discussing venues, dresses, and models along the way. Together they set out to show how a destination wedding in Morocco can stay deeply tied to its surroundings while carrying a modern, international aesthetic.

Venue & Inspiration

Marrakech itself was the starting point. Its architecture, rich colors, light, and distinct hospitality gave the concept its foundation.

For the main setting, the team chose Amanjena, just outside the city. Its warm tones, geometric lines, and quiet atmosphere held the spirit of Marrakech in a timeless way. They didn’t over-design the space. Instead, they focused on thoughtful contrasts, pairing the venue’s bold architecture with modern florals, fashion, and styling.

For the day-after shoot, the photographer chose a location known for its striking minimalist, brutalist design. Despite its sharp lines, the space felt warm and inviting, an intimate setting for the photoshoot.

Fashion

The bridal styling was a story told in looks, with a different one for each part of the celebration. Alice Dupraz-Toulouse and Mariée Couture supplied the pieces, and each look stayed understated and timeless with a modern edge. A hooded cape took the place of the classic veil, and a floor-length lace slip dress, paired with a fresh wet-hair look, set the tone for the morning session. Raja Makeup completed the vision with hair and makeup styled to match each moment in the story.

From Dinner to Dawn

Building several settings into the shoot kept the story moving. Each scene had its own atmosphere, which gave the shoot a wide range of images while staying true to the main story. From the welcome dinner to the wedding day and the quiet morning session, the aim was to create a complete visual journey, showing how a multi-day destination wedding comes together.

Color on the Table

The venue was already so visually powerful that it needed very little added. Yallah Events built the design to sit beside the space, pairing joyful color with timeless elegance. For a subtle French note, Maison Rinceau brought in vintage-inspired silver vessels, antique candlesticks, and old-rose patterned tableware. These details added a touch of French charm without overpowering the Moroccan setting, and together with the vibrant color, sculptural florals, and bold architecture, they gave the table a playful, grown-up feel.

The floral palette came in terracotta, burgundy, blush pink, and soft orange, a nod to Marrakech and the earthy tones of Amanjena. Atelier Nude brought it to life with their floral design.

A Creative Network

One of the most interesting parts of the project was bringing together an international team from different backgrounds. Each collaborator brought their own expertise and creative point of view, united by a shared goal of making something meaningful.

The editorial came together through a talented creative network. Paula Sander worked beside Corinna Keiser as second shooter, and Raw Moments Social caught content throughout the shoot. Masterkey designed the lighting, Samson Sur Mesure made the groom’s suits, and En Talons supplied the bridal shoes. In the end, the project celebrated Marrakech as a destination through a contemporary lens, with Moroccan warmth, polished design, and shared creativity coming together.
