Martina and Nicholas had been visiting the same gym for quite some time. Yet, they had crossed paths and spoken to each other only when they found themselves on a mini-vacation organized by the gym in Croatia during the summer of 2014. That’s where their acquaintance began. Martina and Nicholas decided to take a chance on an extraordinary evening when rain poured, and nobody felt like heading to the dance floor. They grabbed their scooters and helmets and ventured out into the downpour to a local club. Amidst the evening, a magical moment unfolded unexpectedly for Martina: Nicholas took her hand, turned her towards him, and kissed her. It was as if a scene from a romantic movie had come to life!
The lovebirds maintained their long-distance relationship throughout the year until their shared passion for sports prompted them to open a gym together in 2015. Their joint venture led Martina and Nicholas to live together, as Nicholas relocated to the same area where his beloved resided.
Their love for travel inspired them to explore distant places, but not only. They also traveled extensively throughout their native Italy and eventually stumbled upon a beautiful place: La Locanda in Tuscany. They realized it was the perfect spot for their wedding. From there, things unfolded rapidly, and our lovebirds had already planned their entire wedding, surprising their friends and family whom they invited, as they didn’t expect that Martina and Nicholas were planning to tie the knot so soon.
Martina fondly recalls the period when they were preparing for their wedding. And it’s no wonder they entrusted their most important day to the excellent planner Giulia Alessandri, who was by their side throughout the preparation process.
Martina shared her memories: “The preparation process was fun and stimulating, and we never experienced a moment of anxiety. We vividly remember the weekend spent in Tuscany selecting the catering, evenings browsing the social media of various vendors, hours in the car listening to songs that could be the soundtrack of our day, dinners with friends and relatives for the wedding invitation, afternoons with our companions searching for wedding attire, emails, and voice messages with Giulia to finalize all the details, and our bachelor and bachelorette parties.”
Martina and Nicholas’s dream was an intimate wedding, with only a select few—those who indeed held significance in their lives, who played a different but genuinely important roles. The couple longed not just to experience a single day but an entire weekend filled with preparations, emotions, laughter, pool swims, indulging in Tuscan cuisine, and exploring picturesque villages with their families and friends. Their vision was simple yet elegant—not overly extravagant but meticulously planned, vibrant, and brimming with life. They wanted to revel in pure joy and celebration, indulging in a lot of champagne to celebrate the occasion.
This wedding was unique in every detail. The wedding stationery looked charming and delightful: envelopes of a soft sky-blue hue enclosing white paper adorned with delicate floral patterns inside. The bride’s look was meticulously planned, from her retro-style lace dress to the sky-blue open-toed shoes by Loeffler Rendall, and a vibrant, colorful bouquet. Each element wasn’t just a part of the bride’s ensemble but also complemented the chosen wedding style.
Martina opted for a simple yet elegant hairstyle, with loose waves adorned with a white lace headband matching the lace on her dress.
Nicholas looked exceptionally stylish and elegant. For his wedding attire, he opted for a tuxedo, but not just a regular one. The standout feature was the color of the jacket. It was a rich brown hue, with a black collar and lapels paired with black trousers, creating a refined and distinctive look.
The venue where the ceremony took place looked exquisite and enchanting. A historical building that was already beautiful on its own was adorned by the planner Giulia Alessandri with floral arrangements, enhancing the beauty of this special place even more.
The happy newlyweds exited the church in a retro carriage, adding an extra touch of flair to their exit.
Every detail of the reception was meticulously planned by the planner Giulia Alessandri. Martina and Nicholas envisioned a vibrant wedding with designer touches, influencing their choice of tableware. The bright plates with floral patterns looked refined, stylish yet also bold, and unconventional. Additionally, the couple desired unique elements, and Giulia incorporated their wish into the menu design, creating a specially crafted menu with the same pattern as the plates. The woven chandeliers added accents and highlighted the uniqueness of the venue where the reception took place.
Martina shares her impressions of the wedding reception: “The candles turned the evening into a truly romantic moment, accompanied by the beautiful words of our friends. And then we danced the night away, with the open bar flowing freely as guests remained impervious to the breeze, playfully diving into the pool in a very entertaining atmosphere. Everything went flawlessly thanks to the professionalism of all the vendors. It was all unforgettable thanks to the presence of our guests—they were the heart of our wedding. For us, the newlyweds, there was an atmosphere of tranquility, genuine joy, and heartfelt happiness.“
