Set in Western Australia, Olivia and Depeche’s wedding reimagined the classic countryside celebration with a more refined, European-inspired perspective. Moving away from traditional equestrian cues, the day was defined by rich tones, layered textures, and a warm, atmospheric design approach that felt both elevated and deeply personal. Brought to life with Confetti + Co Events, the vision came together perfectly, balancing intention with ease and creating a celebration that felt considered, immersive, and entirely their own.
Location: Upper Swan, Perth, Australia
Style: Old money vintage, nostalgic, eclectic
Time of planning: Around 6 months
Number of guests: 116
Setting: Equestrian Centre
Season: Spring
Olivia and Depeche (commonly known as Peche and Liv) first met through a mutual friend, his cousin and her bridesmaid, and what began as a casual connection slowly grew into a meaningful friendship. A trip to Japan with friends brought them closer, and over the years, they stayed in touch through music recommendations and small, everyday conversations. “Having the basis of friendship meant that we have always been each other’s ‘person’,” they share, a foundation that naturally evolved into something deeper.
After Olivia’s car accident, Depeche made a decision to postpone his plans to move to London, choosing instead to explore what they could become together. From coffee dates to vintage market strolls, their relationship developed with ease until he proposed in a privately hired Queen’s Park, where they celebrated with champagne, just the two of them. “While we know we are young, we knew we were the perfect match,” they say, looking ahead to a life filled with shared goals, travel, and growing together as husband and wife.
Inspiration & Planning
Olivia has always been drawn to design, so creating her wedding Pinterest board was one of the most enjoyable parts of the process. The team at Confetti + Co played a key role in bringing that vision to life. They not only embraced her ideas but also elevated them with thoughtful suggestions along the way. “We cared a lot about every detail,” the bride shares, and the team ensured that every element, from the florals to the table settings, the tent, and the finishing touches, reflected that intention perfectly.
"They made the planning process feel easy and stress-free, turning what could have been super overwhelming into one of the most fun experiences of my life. I had so much fun with the whole process, and honestly, I’d do it all over again (but with the same groom, obviously)."

Bride's Fashion
Olivia chose a gown from Bridal by Aubry Rose, a Hera Couture strapless design defined by structured boning, a sharp neckline, and a basque waist that opened into a flowing princess skirt. Timeless and elegant, it perfectly reflected her personality. She wore it with a custom chiffon neck scarf from the same boutique, adding a soft, romantic touch to the look.
For a sentimental touch, Olivia wore a borrowed locket from her mother that once belonged to her great-grandmother, keeping a piece of family history close. Her beauty look by The Pretty Parlour emained understated with bronzed tones, warm browns, and dusty pinks, complemented by a sleek, slicked-back bun. “It felt timeless, elegant, and so me,” she shares.
The details were equally considered: gold-tipped French nails, her father’s old wedding band, the first ring Depeche ever gave her from a vintage shop, simple red pointed flats, a brown suede bow handbag, a cream faux fur from Review, Christie Nicolaides Bambina earrings in chocolate, and Baccarat Rouge 540, a gift from her sister.
"I absolutely loved what I wore, it felt like a little piece of everyone I love was with me. I couldn’t have been happier with my choices, and I’ll always cherish the time spent with my mum and sister picking everything out together."

Groom's Fashion
Depeche opted for a custom grey suit from Perfect Attire, worn with a brown pinstripe vest that gave the look a refined yet effortless edge. He completed the look with black Calibre dress shoes, an Italian green tie from Peter Jackson, and Scotch & Soda socks. His fragrance of choice was Burberry London, adding a subtle finishing touch.
"Peche has always had incredible taste, and he was so handsome that day. He chose all the fabrics himself and styled the entire look (with just a little guidance from me, of course)."

Ceremony
Although the venue is an equestrian estate, Olivia intentionally steered away from the typical “horse-girl” aesthetic, instead leaning into a more refined, old-castle-gardens feel with a European countryside atmosphere.
After visiting several locations, Brookleigh Estate immediately stood out. “From the moment we saw it, we knew it was the one,” Olivia recalls. Even in the rain, it felt magical, with beautiful outdoor spaces and a newly opened indoor area featuring a cosy fireplace and sweeping lake views.
The bride was especially drawn to the thoughtful details, from the entrance mirror with their names and date to the layered floral arrangements by Signature Floral Design throughout. A last-minute marquee arranged by Confetti + Co ensured everything came together seamlessly, something she describes as “saving the day.”
The ceremony took place in the round garden in front of the fountain, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and immersive. “I really wanted everyone seated,” Olivia notes, and with guests gathered closely around them, the moment felt deeply personal and emotional. During the signing of the registry, jazz music filled the air, bringing a light, joyful energy to the scene. “It made everything feel so happy, timeless, and perfect,” she adds.
"While the rain definitely wasn’t planned, it ended up creating the most romantic, whimsical atmosphere. The misty air, soft light, and moody skies made the photos turn out even more dreamy than we could have imagined. Honestly, I would choose Brookleigh again and again."

Favorite Memories
One of Olivia’s favorite memories came just after their portraits, beautifully captured by Alice Andre Photography and videographers at Valentine’s Day Studio. Her shoes and legs were soaked, and the hem of her dress had gathered traces of mud from the day. In a quiet pause, her mum and cousin took her into a room, carefully blow-drying the fabric while she sipped champagne, laughing at the chaos of it all. “I’ll always remember that moment,” she shares, a small, imperfect scene that somehow captured the spirit of the entire day.
"It really felt like a scene from a movie, everything coming together perfectly, and us feeling so incredibly happy in that moment."

Reception Decor
The reception took place on the open grass near the equestrian grounds, striking a balance between nature and elegance. Beneath a beautifully set Sperry tent, cascading florals wrapped around the columns while soft draping moved gently through the space. As the sun set, chandeliers cast a warm glow overhead, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and quietly magical.
The tables were styled with vintage silver cutlery, classic candelabras, and personalised playing cards that served as thoughtful keepsakes for each guest. One of the standout moments was the Veuve Clicquot champagne tower, a detail that felt effortlessly glamorous while bringing a playful energy to the celebration.
Reception
The evening carried a vibrant, joyful energy, led by a live jazz band, who set the tone from the very beginning. Drinks flowed effortlessly, with stone-fruit spritzes and espresso martinis making their way through the night, while the couple’s first dance to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli became a standout moment, made even more meaningful after the time they spent preparing for it. “Worth it,” Olivia notes.
Their vintage-inspired cake by Perth Cake Collective was almost too beautiful to cut, with layers of chocolate-raspberry, white chocolate, and cookies-and-cream.
Heartfelt toasts from family and friends added emotional depth to the celebration, before the evening gave way to what everyone had been waiting for: a dance floor that stayed full until the very end.
"Olivia and Depeche’s wedding was one of our biggest for 2025. It was such a magical day and it felt like a real-life fairy tale. From the very start, they were such a joy to work with, so kind, trusting and full of love for each other, which made bringing their vision to life an absolute pleasure."
