Taylor and Sam met while studying at the University of Wyoming. Shortly after meeting, Taylor went to study abroad in Europe, but that didn’t stop Sam from asking her out. Their first date was unforgettable—they spontaneously met in Iceland while traveling! What stands out about Taylor and Sam’s relationship is how much fun they have together. Now living in Houston, they love traveling and spending time outdoors.

When they started planning their wedding, Taylor and Sam knew they wanted an intimate celebration that truly felt like them. They chose Sam’s family’s beautiful home in Colorado as the venue. Their goal was a relaxed day where they felt at home with their friends and family but also upscale and stylish. They wanted to highlight the natural beauty of the mountains and the charm of Sam’s family home. Inspired by the minimal and modern style of Iceland, this aesthetic was reflected in their outfits and decor. Their photographer, Haley Hawn, beautifully captured the cozy atmosphere and these thoughtful touches. • We were a bit reluctant to spend the time and money we did, but it was well worth seeing so much of our family and friends having such a fun time with us. Investing in them was incredibly valuable.

• In terms of strict investments in vendors, catering, decor, music, etc…we can’t pass up the photography, as it’s the one tangible investment that keeps the day alive forever.
