Katherine and Kyle’s story began at a bonfire on Ocean Beach in San Francisco, where a chance seating arrangement led to an evening of conversation, followed by a romantic first date at a French restaurant. After a year of dating, Kyle proposed on a serene beach in Mendocino.

The bride and groom entrusted the planning of their special day to the skilled team at Chloe Alise Events, who orchestrated every detail of this beautiful wedding with incredible care and professionalism. From the decor to critical moments, they ensured the day would be unforgettable and delightful for Katherine, Kyle, and every guest in attendance.

The choice of San Miguel de Allende as their wedding venue was influenced by multiple factors, including the presence of a family friend who operated a boutique hotel there. This location served as a central meeting point for guests traveling from various parts of the United States, including California, Chicago, and Alabama. Katherine and Kyle’s wedding at an outdoor boutique hotel embraced the Baroque Spanish atmosphere inherent to the locale. Fortunately, The timing coincided with Mexican Independence Day, which infused the event with vibrant, festive energy.

Katherine’s wedding attire radiated modern, classic charm. Her gown was a vision of elegance, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline that draped beautifully to reveal a subtle hint of her shoulders. The dress cascaded into a flowing skirt with a graceful train. The sleeves were adorned with delicate details, providing a romantic twist reminiscent of Jane Austen’s literary world. Her hair was styled in a sleek updo, allowing the gown to take center stage. The look was completed with minimalist makeup, enhancing her natural beauty. Her wedding bouquet was a delicate blend of summer and early fall vibes. It featured light orange peonies, richly petalled purple and cream dahlias, lilac chrysanthemums, and striking anthuriums with white-green foliage and red spathes, adding an exotic touch.

Kyle was the epitome of classic elegance on the morning of his wedding day. He exuded confidence in a beautifully tailored black tuxedo that spoke of timeless style. The sharp lines of the suit contrasted with the softness of his bow tie. As Kyle prepared to meet Katherine at the altar, the atmosphere around Kyle was a celebration. Laughter and light-hearted banter filled the air as his groomsmen shared in the joyous occasion.

In the garden Kyle and Katherine shared their intimate ‘first look’ moment. When Kyle turned to behold Katherine, his face broke into a genuine, joyful smile that spoke volumes of his love and anticipation.

Photographer Marcus Jolly captured some stunning shots of the couple that really showed off their love: the bride’s graceful beauty and the groom’s handsome elegance.

Katherine and Kyle’s pre-wedding photos are the perfect mix of elegance and fun. The bridesmaids looked lovely in their soft pastel dresses, the perfect match to Katherine’s gorgeous white gown. Kyle’s crew kept it classic in sharp black suits. But they didn’t forget to have a little fun – they snapped a photo wearing lucha libre masks, giving a shout-out to the local vibes and adding an extra dash of fun to the day.

The ceremony spot was set in a beautiful garden with an arch that seemed like a natural extension of the greenery. The bright flowers flowed in a gradient from one color to the next, creating the magical atmosphere of a blooming summer garden.

The ceremony was both stunning and unforgettable. The beautiful Katherine walked down the aisle on her father’s arm to where her beloved waited at the altar. They exchanged heartfelt vows that left not a single guest untouched.

“… And our music! We had our two friends learn songs that are important to us to play on acoustic guitar. Deep in Love by Bonny Light Horseman. The Promise by Sturgill Simpson and At Last by Etta James. The weekend was Mexican Independence Day, meaning there were parties everywhere in San Miguel de Allende for guests to partake in. Most guests had never been to SMA and were pleasantly surprised and excited to find out it was such a momentous weekend filled with lively energy from the locals celebrating all weekend.”

After the ceremony, guests could mingle in a specially arranged area for cocktail hour. Drinks, including Katherine and Kyle’s favorites, were prepared for everyone. The Chloe Alise Events team ensured this moment was comfortable for guests, with tall tables draped in green tablecloths and wooden bar stools in the courtyard. It was not only comfy but also visually stunning and stylish.

The wedding colors and floral arrangements added to the uniqueness. Yellow, a symbol of hope and happiness, was elegantly incorporated throughout the event, from the invitations and napkins to the floral decorations. The floral designs were collaborative with local vendors Florklor and Pistes De Arte, featuring lush greenery and a mix of traditional and Ikebana-style arrangements, complementing the hand-painted cobalt blue dance floor.

The reception was cozy and full of friendly vibes, with guests sharing warm speeches that echoed around. Starry lights twinkled from above, softly lighting the space while candles flickered on the tables, setting the scene for romance. Quiet chats, bursts of laughter, and the clinking of glasses filled the air, making for a beautifully heartfelt moment.

The evening continued with the newlyweds’ beautiful first dance as they took to the center of the dance floor to share this new beginning as husband and wife. Later, Katherine and Kyle cut into their wedding cake, adding fun to the magical evening.

After the traditional wedding moments, the guests took to the dance floor, ready to dance all night long and share the day’s happiness with the bride and groom.

The wedding concluded spectacularly, with guests receiving long sparklers and lining up to form a tunnel. As the newlyweds walked through, this dazzling moment served as the perfect finale to their magical wedding.

Advice from couple:

Know that the day will be special no matter what! Don’t try to stress too much about the details – it’s the memories of your friends and family that you’ll remember forever. And do what you want! Don’t ask too many people for advice; trust your gut during the planning process. It should be a self-expression of what you both want as a couple.

When planning a destination wedding, trust your vendors, especially your planner, and know you’re in good hands. Destination wedding planning requires patience and understanding that you can’t be onsite for every decision. Trusting your team is important because you know they have your back and will make the best decisions for you!
