Pham Cao Quynh Anh and Hoang Viet Anh’s story began in an unexpected, modern way, on Tinder, but with a twist. At the time, Quynh Anh’s best friend was actually using her profile and matched with Viet Anh. After days of chatting, he eventually passed along Viet Anh’s Instagram, telling her, “Here’s your man.” Viet Anh only discovered the full story much later, and it has since become their favorite meet-cute to share.

Season: Fall

When it came to planning their wedding, Quynh Anh and Viet Anh wanted something that truly reflected who they are, authentic, stylish, and deeply emotional. From the very beginning, Quynh Anh envisioned a celebration that felt classical, refined, and intentional, with every element thoughtfully considered, from the overall atmosphere down to the smallest detail. They focused on timeless choices that would continue to feel meaningful and beautiful for years to come.

Inspiration & Planning

Red became the foundation of the entire design, a color that felt bold, emotional, and deeply symbolic to them. From there, the vision unfolded with intention and clarity. “Red has always been our color,” Quynh Anh shares, naturally guiding every choice that followed. For her gown, she gravitated toward satin fabrics for their softness and quiet elegance, choosing materials that felt luxurious yet understated. The entire vision was brought to life with the help of Velvet Vows Creation, who guided the planning process and translated their ideas into a cohesive and elevated celebration.

Florals were approached with the same level of care. Quynh Anh carried a bouquet of Ecuadorian red roses, chosen for their fullness and classic beauty, while the arrangements, designed by Umbala Wedding & Event, balanced organic movement with structured composition. “We wanted something romantic, but not excessive,” she explains, allowing the flowers to enhance the space rather than dominate it. Every texture and tone worked in harmony, creating a look that felt rich yet controlled.

Nothing was accidental. From the flow of the day to the smallest visual details, everything was curated to feel timeless, elegant, and deeply personal. Captured by De Rossa Studio, the atmosphere comes through with clarity and emotion, preserving how the day looked and how it felt. “The goal was never to impress,” Quynh Anh reflects, “but to create something honest, emotional, and beautifully enduring.”

Couple's Fashion

Fashion became one of the most personal ways the bride expressed herself throughout the day, with nearly every look thoughtfully customized. She wore three designs by Cao Tram Bridal, each revealing a different side of her, a timeless, elegant look for the ceremony, a more fashion-forward direction for the reception, and a bold, subtly sensual look for the after-party. One of her favorite details was the veil, embroidered in red with a personal quote, adding a meaningful and intimate touch.

Viet Anh’s suit from La Luot Tailor was just as considered, defined by clean, modern tailoring and subtle personal details. He had their initials hand-embroidered on the collar, a quiet touch only visible up close, but one that carried deep meaning for them both.

The couple also introduced a playful, unexpected element that felt entirely their own, custom grillz engraved with their initials. It was a subtle yet striking way of blending classic elegance with personality and a sense of fun, creating a detail that felt modern and unforgettable.

Ceremony

The ceremony was emotional, intimate, and filled with deeply meaningful moments. Walking down the aisle with her father was already overwhelming for Quynh Anh, but halfway through, her godfather was waiting to embrace her. “It was incredibly touching,” she shares, “one of the most powerful moments of my life.” Adding to the atmosphere, three of her younger cousins walked as “angels,” carrying the rings, a detail that brought warmth and joy to the ceremony.

"The moment that stands out most vividly was walking down the aisle—specifically, the hug from my godfather. It was heartfelt, unscripted, and beautiful in its rawness. That moment is forever stayed in my memory as the purest expression of love."

Music played a defining role in shaping the mood. She walked down the aisle to Young and Beautiful, performed live on solo violin, while Viet Anh made his entrance to Dark Horse. “It instantly set the tone for something bold and uniquely ours,” she says, introducing a contrast that felt both cinematic and personal.

After walking back down the aisle as a married couple, the moment shifted unexpectedly. The couple returned wearing sunglasses, turning the atmosphere into something playful and celebratory. “It was fun, spontaneous, and so us,” the bride shares, as champagne was popped and laughter filled the space. “Even my grandparents told us afterward how much they loved it.”

Reception

The reception carried the same energy, emotional yet joyful, elegant but never formal. Their first dance was set to Ordinary, a song that holds deep meaning for them. “I choreographed it myself,” Quynh Anh shares, turning the moment into something more personal than a traditional slow dance. It felt natural, intimate, and fully reflective of their connection.

Instead of a traditional Vietnamese cake-cutting ceremony, they chose a different approach. A one-meter-long cake in a clean, classic white became the centerpiece, but rather than cutting it, they blew out the candles together. “At that exact moment, confetti filled the air,” she recalls, creating a scene that felt magical, light, and almost dreamlike, simple, unexpected, and full of joy.

What made the celebration truly distinctive was the level of personalization woven throughout. Every detail, from the overall concept to the smallest elements, was thoughtfully designed specifically for them. “Nothing was off-the-shelf,” Quynh Anh shares. “Everything carried meaning,” creating a wedding that felt deeply emotional, intentional, and entirely their own.

"The most unique and irreplaceable part of the day wasn’t something we could design or plan - it was the people. Having our families and closest friends there, the ones who have shaped our lives and supported us through every chapter, is what truly made the day one of a kind."

Advice from the couple:

Don’t try to please everyone. Focus on what feels authentic to you as a couple. The day goes by so fast, so choose elements that make you feel present, excited, and truly happy. Start planning early, trust your vendors (especially your planner—you’ll want someone you really believe in), and personalize the details that matter most. And on the day itself, let go of control and just be in the moment.
