The rolling landscapes of Tuscany set the stage for a wedding that felt both intimate and grand. Beatrice and Bogdan brought their closest friends and family from around the world to Castello di Celsa, creating a celebration filled with cultural richness and heartfelt emotion. From the morning rituals to the late-night dancing, every detail reflected their story and the care they put into sharing this moment with loved ones.

Location: Tuscany, Italy
Style: Timeless, Elegant, Romantic
Setting: Castle
Season: Spring

Beatrice and Bogdan’s journey began in London, where a chance dinner in a Japanese fusion restaurant quickly grew into something lasting. Over fifteen years together, they built a life full of travel, memories, and shared traditions, weaving together her Indonesian roots and his Romanian heritage. Bogdan’s proposal at Kew Gardens captured his thoughtful nature, arranging a photographer and going down on one knee three times until he knew the moment was perfect. Their wedding carried that same balance of joy and intention, bringing family and friends across continents to celebrate their union.

Wedding Day

Bridal Fashion

Beatrice chose timeless simplicity for her bridal look, wearing a plain white gown that spoke through its clean lines rather than embellishment. For the ceremony, she paired it with a long veil and a refined low updo, creating a graceful silhouette against the Tuscan backdrop.

Later, her look transformed with voluminous ruffled sleeves and loose hair, striking a balance between elegance and ease for the evening. Jimmy Choo heels and Sophie Bille Brahe pearl earrings completed her ensemble, while a bouquet of crisp white flowers reflected the wedding’s monochrome palette.

Groom’s Fashion

Bogdan wore a three-piece black tuxedo, sharp yet classic in its cut. A subtle personal detail, Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi fragrance, was chosen as a nod to their love for Italy. He also added small but playful touches for his groomsmen, including matching socks and custom Pokémon playing cards, which brought humor to the otherwise polished atmosphere.

First Look

The anticipation of seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day was one of the most emotional moments. In the quiet of Castello di Celsa’s gardens, Beatrice and Bogdan shared their first look surrounded by history and greenery. Family Films captured the moment with a cinematic sensibility, preserving the tenderness in their glances and the laughter that followed. The film brought together every layer: the setting, the emotions, and the anticipation of what was to come.

Ceremony

Set in the courtyard of Castello di Celsa, the symbolic ceremony blended tradition with individuality. With their civil wedding in London and a religious ceremony already behind them, this gathering was about bringing people together in a personal way.

Guests traveled from London, France, Romania, Indonesia, and Singapore, creating an international circle of support. A celebrant from London guided the vows, giving the exchange a rhythm that felt both intimate and inclusive.

One of the most memorable moments for Beatrice was walking down the aisle, later saying, “I have always wondered what it feels like to be walking towards the man of my dream.”

The bride and groom exchanged vows beneath grand stone walls and ivy-covered towers, while Stiatti Fiori designed lush white arrangements that framed the scene with softness. Bogdan honored his grandparents by transforming the chapel into a small commemorative shrine, ensuring their presence was felt in spirit. The ceremony was emotional, heartfelt, and deeply personal, a reflection of their story and the connections they hold dear.

Cocktail Hour

After the vows, the celebration continued with cocktails on the castle grounds. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, with guests enjoying the late Tuscan sun and an Aperol Spritz in hand. Beatrice’s gown took on its second form with playful sleeves, perfectly suited to the lighter mood.

Music by Sara Ferrini set the tone, blending strings and modern rhythms that matched the buzz of conversation and laughter. Italian Taste Lodovichi catering offered flavors of the region, adding another layer of authenticity to the experience.

Private Moment

As the sun dipped lower, Beatrice and Bogdan stole a quiet moment in the castle’s gardens. With its maze of hedges and view of the ivy-clad towers, the setting gave them space to breathe and take in the day.

The photographer Yana Korn captured the tenderness between them — subtle glances, soft smiles, and the stillness that contrasts with the energy of the reception. These images carried a timeless quality, preserving not just how the day looked but how it felt in those rare pauses.

Decor & Flowers

The reception design followed the wedding’s all-white theme, refined without excess. Stiatti Fiori created floral arrangements of white roses and orchids, placed in low clusters that encouraged conversation across the tables. The planner at Maison D’Eventi worked with Wedding Central House to layer the setting with thoughtful details: chandeliers hanging outdoors, strings of lights across the courtyard, and tables dressed in crisp linen with gold-rimmed glassware.

The design balanced the grandeur of the castle with a sense of warmth and intimacy. An aerial view revealed an elegant layout of round tables complemented by a curved head table, creating both structure and flow.

Reception

As night fell, the courtyard transformed into a glowing celebration. Guests gathered under chandeliers suspended in the open air, dining carefully crafted menu, from seafood dishes to rich regional favorites. Toasts and speeches filled the evening with laughter and tears, while Beatrice charmed guests with her second look: a chic mini dress paired with sparkling heels, perfect for dancing.

The couple poured champagne into a tower of glasses, shared their cake beneath bursts of sparklers, and celebrated with their friends on the dance floor. Trio Italiano Show brought energy with live music, leading guests from dinner to dancing under the stars. Polaroid cameras circulated among the tables, capturing candid snapshots that added to the evening’ssense of fun.

"By the end of the wedding, they were happily exhausted, but above all deeply grateful to have been surrounded by so much love and joy"

Family and friends filled the dance floor, while the castle’s centuries-old walls seemed to echo with joy. The evening closed with Family Films weaving every element together into a narrative that will outlast memory, giving Beatrice and Bogdan a way to relive not just the events but the emotions of the day.

"This was an incredibly beautiful and elegant couple, and we were truly delighted to capture their wedding."

Advice from the couple:

The day itself can be very hectic, so make sure you get a wedding planner who can handle the operations on the ground so you can relax and enjoy the day.

Take lots of photos! The day will fly by and you’ll want to memorialise as much as possible. We even had a polaroid camera for the guests to share during the party at night.

•  A good celebrant can have a significant impact too.
