Heidi and Nick’s love story began in Las Vegas on February 2nd, 2019. Their first official date was in Los Angeles on February 12th, 2019. From then on, they spent significant time together, navigating between the bustling cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Interestingly, their backgrounds were intertwined with their places of residence. Nick, originally from San Francisco, had recently relocated to Los Angeles before meeting Heidi. On the other hand, Heidi, a Los Angeles native, had just moved to San Francisco before meeting Nick. Their paths finally crossed at a bachelor/bachelorette party of mutual friends from New York in Las Vegas. Amongst the attendees, who all hailed from the East Coast, Nick, and Heidi represented the only connections to the West Coast.
Nick proposed to Heidi in San Francisco at Bernal Heights Park on November 23, 2020. They had visited this spot before during their dating days. Heidi once asked Nick, “Do you want to listen to this song I’ve been obsessed with lately?” To their amazement, it was “Way Back Home” by Korean artist Shaun, a song Nick had played repeatedly for months. It was a delightful surprise, and they couldn’t help but burst into laughter, falling off the swing in pure joy.
This shared passion for the same music was just one of the many similarities they discovered, such as their love for coconut water from a specific Las Vegas juice shop, their favorite ice cream flavor being “McConnell’s Chocolate Covered Strawberries,” and even having a matching mole on their faces.
They legally married in San Francisco on August 17, 2020, deviating from their original plan to wed in Lake Como. August 17 held a special significance as “17” represents “together” in Chinese (yi-chi), and the number “8” signifies infinity. Thus, 8/17 symbolizes their eternal togetherness.
But all sweet and cherished dreams must come true, so eventually, they celebrated their wedding luxuriously on Lake Como, but later.
As the sun rose, Heidi opened her eyes to a picturesque morning on her wedding day. The dresses were meticulously hung, ready to be worn for this momentous occasion. The venue was adorned with exquisite details, lending an air of enchantment and building up the excitement and anticipation for the day ahead.
Heidi experienced a wonderful morning, surrounded by her loved ones, all captivated by the breathtaking view of Villa Erba overlooking Lake Como.

Heidi adorned herself in exquisite Milla Nova gowns that showcased her unique personality. The brilliant makeup and hair artistry by Ruslana Regi added a touch of elegance and flawlessly complemented each dress.
On the morning of his wedding day, Nick was surrounded by his closest friends and groomsmen. The atmosphere was perfect as they prepared for the joyous celebration ahead.
They embarked on a delightful boat ride across the enchanting Lake Como, relishing in the picturesque views that unfolded before them.

Throughout the process, Italian Wedding and Events had the privilege to collaborate with top-notch suppliers, including Villa Erba. This remarkable venue is truly one of a kind, located in Cernobbio, on the enchanting shores of Lake Como, Italy. The 19th-century villa not only serves as a world-renowned conference center but has also served as a captivating filming location for many famous Hollywood movies.
The couple was dreaming about a very romantic and soft pastel color palette. Heidi wanted a dreamy setup that could remind their first date. They wanted to recall the moment they met on the swing, so the planner created a beautiful swing in Villa Erba Gardens decorated with gorgeous flowers, which was used as a photo booth.
The wedding ceremony was a truly enchanting and magical experience. As the couple exchanged their vows, the atmosphere was filled with joy and happiness, spreading infectious smiles across the faces of all the guests.
The view surrounding the ceremony location was absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning backdrop that added an extra touch of beauty and awe to the occasion.
After the ceremony, the couple embarked on a delightful boat trip across the picturesque Lake Como. It was an intimate and romantic experience, surrounded by serene waters and stunning scenery. To ensure that these cherished memories would be forever treasured, Nick and Heidi chose to work with the highly regarded photographer Bottega 53, and videographer Alberto D’aria. These two creative companies are known for their exceptional quality photos and videos, capturing the emotions and atmosphere of unique events like this wedding. With their artistic expertise, they beautifully preserved every precious detail, ensuring that these beautiful and joyous moments would be cherished forever.
While the couple was enjoying their boat trip, the guests eagerly prepared for the reception and enjoyed their cocktail hour. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as friends and family came together, engaging in delightful conversations and celebrating the joyous occasion with one another.

Once Heidi changed into her stunning second dress by Milla Nova, she was fully prepared to join Nick in starting the magnificent celebration. The couple looked radiant, excited as they prepared to kick off the festivities and create unforgettable memories with their loved ones.

After Heidi put on her last wedding dress, the happy dance started. The delightful music, thoughtfully selected and organized by the highly regarded AV services company, Blunotte, added a sense of sophistication and guaranteed everyone to remember this celebration. Blunotte’s impressive choice of music and stunning lighting was instrumental in creating an unforgettable experience for everyone.
The wedding evening ended on a delicious note, with the guests enjoying a delightful serving of Italian gelato. This sweet addition brought an extra touch of joy to the celebration of love. The wedding was truly special and will be cherished as a beautiful and memorable occasion.
