Judy and Steven’s wedding took place at the Polygon Art Gallery, chosen by the couple for its blend of contemporary aesthetics and minimalism, which perfectly complements their style. The story of the couple’s engagement is beautiful and reflects the romantic essence of their wedding. Here is how the lovebirds themselves describe this magical moment: “We went on a glamping trip in Kelowna. As the sun set and the stars twinkled above us, we sat by the campfire, roasting marshmallows and enjoying each other’s company. My partner played my favorite song by the campfire, and he opened a small box to reveal a beautiful ring. I said yes without hesitation. The rest of our trip was spent in a romantic haze, enjoying the beauty of Kelowna and the excitement of our future together.”
Dedicated to honoring tradition, the couple conducted a tea ceremony, for which Judy chose a traditional Qipao dress. However, instead of the conventional red, the dress was ivory, embroidered with pearls and shimmering stones, creating an unforgettable bridal look.
Judy, a jewelry designer with impeccable taste, ensured that everything chosen for the wedding was thoughtfully curated and epitomized high style. The bride’s dress was one of a kind, tailor-made to perfection, complemented by Jimmy Choo shoes and a delicate veil. Judy’s cherished bridesmaids accompanied her on her wedding morning, giving a helping hand on this significant day.
Judy shares, “A classic hair updo is so romantic and soft-looking, and it complements my wedding gown. We wanted a modern wedding, so I went with sleek and minimal dress shapes for a contemporary touch. The satin material and dramatic dress volume step up a clean bridal look.”
Steven also chose a timeless look for the wedding. His black three-piece suit, complemented by a bow tie, created an elegant appearance that looked magnificent on him and harmonized beautifully with the bride’s dress.
The heartwarming moment was the bride and groom’s first look when they saw each other in their wedding attire for the first time. Steven’s delight at the sight of his beautiful bride was unforgettable.
Maricle Kang, whom the couple selected as their wedding photographer, was present at every moment of their beautiful day, capturing these joyous instances. Her attentive approach to every detail, sense of style, and artistic method allowed her to produce exquisite photographs that encapsulate the essence of the wedding day. For Judy and Steven, Maricle created beautiful images, capturing their portraits with friends. Each picture perfectly reflects the emotions of everyone who was there with the couple during those beautiful moments.
Planner and Designer Liting from Paradise Events shared about the preparation plan, “With Judy’s complete creative design trust we brought the abstract concept to the overall design. We carefully chose the baby breath and preserved ferns as the base florals as the abstract base; we added white, cream, and nude color roses for a romantic look and white orchids for elegance. It is an excellent combination of our Bride’s personality: sweet with a hint of spicy. We also added the paper installation element to make it more unique. Two big installations were created for the focal point: one is the altar arch, and the other one is the ceiling installation.”
Before the reception, the couple spent time alone to share the joyous emotions following the wedding ceremony. Maricle Kang captured beautiful, sunlit portraits filled with love for the enamored pair.
After the ceremony, the hall was adorned for the reception. Rectangular tables covered with grey tablecloths were arranged, and glassware created a sense of weightlessness. An abundance of candles added a touch of romance. The bride changed into a stunning satin dress with a straight cut and unique, stylish lantern sleeves for the reception. She also altered her hairstyle to a low, voluminous ponytail and wore a strand of grey pearls as an accessory. Her entire look was incredibly stylish and memorable.
The reception was filled with beautiful moments. Judy and Steven delivered a touching speech, thanking their guests for sharing the joy of this special day. The sound of clinking glasses and pleasant conversations filled the air.
A beautiful and unforgettable moment occurred when the newlyweds cut the wedding cake, which resembled a true masterpiece. Its flawless design completed the overall style of the wedding. The tall, three-tiered, pristine white cake, placed on transparent columns, created an illusion of flight, lightness, and weightlessness. It was indeed a perfect moment.
At sunset, during the “golden hour,” the couple took time to capture magical photographs. Maricle Kang created beautiful portraits filled with the golden glow of the setting sun, and these photographs perfectly conveyed the romantic atmosphere of this lovely day.
