This shoot at Quinta da Casa da Adega in Portugal followed the quiet logic of nature: soft, unrushed, and rooted in feeling. The styling leaned into stillness rather than spectacle, letting texture, light, and air set the tone. Captured by Pixel and Afonso Castella on digital and film, the result feels honest and intentional, with every frame shaped by presence and care.
"I wanted the viewer almost to hear the wind, to feel the breeze through the imagery."

Concept
This shoot took shape through a lens of restraint and intention. There was no need to dramatize or oversaturate. Instead, the team built a story around natural elements: green fruit, loose flowers, and vintage-inspired textures and let those speak for themselves. A few pears, a scatter of wild stems, a crown of soft blooms. Each moment felt grounded in simplicity, with no push to impress.
The styling played with scale and softness. Gilded candlesticks were balanced with bare stems in clear vases. Grapes and pears became unexpected decor elements. It all felt tactile and intentional, made from what’s found rather than bought. A still life in motion.
Fashion
The bridal look mirrored the same poetic restraint. The dress was strapless and sheer in places, cut from Chantilly lace that felt barely there: feminine, fluid, and full of air. The bride wore a crown of loose, airy flowers, full in volume, and paired it with a sheer veil.
Her makeup and hair followed that same logic: fresh skin, defined but not overdone, and hair that caught the wind without losing its shape. Hair by DC Hair Art and makeup by Daniel Vaz completed the look with subtle, grounded elegance.
Next to her, the groom wore a pale gray suit with no tie or pocket square, just an open collar and rolled-up sleeves. The look was crisp without being formal, styled with a sense of ease that felt right in this setting. Both outfits came from Gio Rodrigues Atelier and carried the same tone: no excess, just the right amount of detail.
"More than well-dressed, they were fully present. And sometimes, that’s all you need."

Feelings in Motion
Pixel and Afonso Castella didn’t just document. They translated. The way they worked with film and digital added another layer of texture to the story. Some shots felt cinematic, others like flickers of memory. Every frame had breath to it.
You can sense the calm in the greens, the clarity in the whites, the intimacy of the gestures. Nothing was rushed. And somehow, that makes everything feel more alive.
