A Story Written in Plum and Candlelight

The project for Domaine des Halles came together on the very first technical visit to the venue, made alongside planner Laure and photographer Heritage Story Wedding, both there from the earliest stages to help shape the vision. What immediately struck the team was the richness of the property’s identity, a space steeped in history, with the charm of the château, harmoniously contrasting the elegant modernity of the orangery.

From there, the idea was to build a strong narrative thread between past and present, merging the classic, almost timeless elegance of the historic setting with a more contemporary, avant-garde approach, never letting these two worlds compete but allowing them to coexist subtly.

Fashion

For her wedding look, the bride kept things minimal, a structured gown paired with a soft veil that let the dress do the talking. Hair and makeup, handled by Claire Laps Wedding and Jenna B Wedding, kept the same energy, natural and quiet.

The stationery, designed by Atelier Mutine, followed the same instinct, clean lines and simple typography running through the tables to match the rest of the day.

The groom’s look followed the same aesthetic, clean and understated, in step with the rest of the day.

Tea Party

Before the ceremony, the bridal party gathered for a tea party with the bridesmaids, desserts by pastry chef Mickaël Iachini setting the tone for the day ahead, a quiet, sweet moment before everything else began.

Ceremony

In the orangery, the team fully embraced a contemporary style, designing a modern, immersive ceremony space. Drapery played a central role, done in plum tones, a subtle blend of purple and pink, paired with shades of brown for depth.

Le Clos Végétal built the florals around that same palette, white and pastel pink blooms adding lightness to the overall composition. Structural elements punctuated the space throughout, reinforcing the modern, on-trend feel running through the whole ceremony.

Reception & Party Time

The table setting reflected that same concept directly. The base stayed deliberately modern, draped table linens bringing movement and a contemporary touch, while the cutlery and certain other elements introduced something more classic and refined, almost inherited, sharpened further by antique silver candlesticks. Elegant and current, but firmly in step with the spirit of the venue.

For the reception in the château, the goal was to extend that same visual language while giving more weight to the building’s history. The team revisited the codes established at the ceremony, the drapery, the color palette, and softened them into something more classic, more château-inspired. The décor that came out of it landed somewhere between elegance, refinement, and visual coherence, a quiet balance between modernity and heritage running through every table.
