This editorial was about letting iconic Villa Balbiano breathe in a new way, a place that carries centuries of classical Italian grandeur. Against that backdrop, the shoot brings in a bold, contemporary energy that feels playful and unapologetically modern. Fulop Robert frames the story through a fashion-forward lens, leaning into contrast and fully embracing creative freedom. The day naturally unfolds toward its final moment, ending with a seaplane ride over Lake Como that adds a cinematic edge to the story.
What I loved most was the quiet sense of timelessness the place carries. It allowed me to slow down, observe, and create images that felt honest, elegant, and deeply personal.

The ceremony marked a clear shift away from anything expected. There were no white roses, no soft blush tones, no familiar peach palettes often seen in Lake Como settings. Instead, the styling leaned into depth and richness, layered textures, sculptural florals, and a darker, more fashion-driven mood.
One of the most meaningful moments for me was watching how the story unfolded naturally in front of the camera — the subtle gestures, the textures, the movement. It reminded me why I love editorial work: it gives you space to connect with the environment and let the emotion guide the frame.

The dinner setting carried the same mood into the garden. The long table was dressed in deep, chocolate-toned linens, layered with sculptural florals, dark grapes, figs, and rich textures. Candlelight replaced softness, adding depth instead of romance. Set against the gardens of Villa Balbiano, the dinner felt grounded, intimate, and visually bold, staying true to the editorial’s confident direction from start to finish.
Shooting at Villa Balbiano was an experience that stayed with me long after the day ended. The atmosphere, the architecture, the light — everything came together in a way that felt almost cinematic.

The day concluded with a seaplane ride over Lake Como. Lifting off from the water felt like a natural continuation of the story rather than a planned finale. The quiet hum of the plane, the lake stretching below, and the villa fading into the distance gave the editorial its closing frame. It was a simple, striking way to end a day built on contrast, confidence, and freedom of expression.
