Some love stories don’t need words — they unfold in glances, gestures, and the quiet elegance of shared moments. This styled shoot is a visual journey through that kind of connection: effortlessly intimate, yet strikingly refined. Set in the heart of Manhattan, it celebrates the richness of diversity, the spontaneity of inspiration, and the beauty of bringing creative souls together. With fashion that commands attention and locations that whisper their own stories, every scene feels like a frame from a modern romance film.
Concept Behind the Shoot
Anastasia Lukki admits to have a deep love for capturing the magic that unfolds when different cultures and backgrounds come together. Her work is driven by a passion for telling love stories that are as unique as the people at the heart of them, and this styled shoot is no exception. The photographer especially enjoys working with couples from different nationalities, finding inspiration in the richness and diversity of their stories.
The shoot was sparked by a spontaneous encounter — Anastasia Lukki met the model by chance and instantly felt a creative connection. That moment led to an idea that quickly blossomed into a full collaboration. Alongside a group of like-minded photographers, she brought this vision to life, crafting a shoot that celebrated spontaneity, cultural beauty, and the unexpected paths that bring people together.
Graceful Fashion
The bride wore a breathtaking WONÁ Concept gown — an exquisite blend of structured corsetry and soft romantic draping. The delicate lace and off-the-shoulder sleeves add a whisper of vintage charm, while the flowing train brings graceful movement to every step. One of the most captivating details was the bride’s headpiece by the same designer as the gown: a chic birdcage veil that adds both mystery and sophistication, evoking old-Hollywood glamour in the most contemporary way.
She carried a sculptural bouquet by Wedded Events, featuring white calla lilies, sleek, architectural, and full of understated drama. The makeup by Diana Beauty Maker, soft yet radiant, brought everything together: glowing skin, defined eyes, and a classic muted lip.
The groom complemented her effortlessly in a white tuxedo jacket from Jojayden with a black bow tie, striking the perfect balance between classic formalwear and fresh, fashion-forward style. “We completely fell in love with WONÁ Concept and every detail they curated for us — it was a dream come true,” the photographer shared.
In The City
Set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City, the shoot drew inspiration from the grand streets and hidden corners of Manhattan — its character, its energy, its soul. “The biggest challenge was choosing a location — Manhattan is so incredible that it’s almost impossible to pick just one spot!” Anastasia Lukki shares.
The photography evolved beautifully with each location, mirroring the spirit of the city itself. In Tribeca, bold editorial-style shots captured striking contrasts — vintage car moments set against towering modern architecture. In Central Park, the light softened, wrapping the couple in a golden, dreamy glow.
And at The Plaza Hotel, romance took center stage with regal elegance and timeless charm. Through every frame, Anastasia Lukki wove a stunning visual story — one that feels both cinematic and deeply personal.
"We embraced the city’s diversity and captured different vibes, from the elegance of The Plaza Hotel and the charm of Central Park to the modern, artistic feel of Tribeca. Each location added its own unique touch to the story we wanted to tell."
