This styled shoot is all about unconventional love and freedom to be ourselves, designed and organized by the talented Alessandra Ciccarelli. It’s not your classic bridal shoot – it’s a story of movement, rebellion, and redefined romance.
The inspiration was drawn straight from Toronto itself. A city of contradictions – glass towers and graffiti walls, symmetry and spontaneity, structure and chaos. All of it collides into a love story that feels modern and endlessly alive.
"I imagined a love story unfolding in the everyday, at crosswalks, under streetlights, on painted alleyways, yet with a distinct visual identity. Each shot was composed to feel spontaneous, but anchored by precise styling and direction.”

Fashion
Two key looks by Catherine Langlois Bridal set the tone for the shoot: a two-piece fringed set, minimalist in shape but full of movement, and a short structured mini dress with dramatic ruffles, worn with a long veil, white socks, and black patent loafers, a look that felt both playful and disruptive.
Makeup artist Presley Foskett created a glowing, natural look with golden highlights and soft, luminous skin, while hairstylist Cat Morales styled the hair into a sleek, pulled-back ponytail, balancing strength with simplicity.
The City Becomes the Venue
“I didn’t want a traditional venue – I wanted the city itself.” Every street, every corner, every bridge became part of the story, each space adding its own charm.
This styled shoot by Alessandra Ciccarelli, captured by Raphaëlle Granger, turned Toronto into the ultimate backdrop. The shoot moved fluidly across different locations, starting with Bay Street, where the tram tracks and vertical lines gave the images a pulse of urban energy.
"These weren’t just backdrops; they became characters. The architecture gave rhythm and realism to the narrative, elevating each frame into something cinematic and emotionally grounded.”

Toronto as the Muse
A street food truck corner with a cheeky “Hot Dog & Fries” backdrop brought another contrast – bright, fun, and buzzing with energy. The idea was simple: let the city speak louder than any styling element.
Shooting in Toronto also meant embracing unpredictability like passing cars, shifting light, curious onlookers, and even a touch of rain. But that’s what gave the editorial its pulse. The imperfections weren’t interruptions – they became part of the storytelling.
Love Without Rules
The other two stops were just as powerful. The graffiti walls of Kensington Market added color, while the iconic Humber Bay Arch Bridge closed the journey on an unexpectedly poetic note with its lines framed by a light urban rain.
More than just a styled shoot, this work became a reflection on freedom: the freedom to be fully yourself, unshaped by expectations or trends. Love doesn’t need rituals to validate it. Sometimes, it’s simply two hands holding tight, a skateboard under your feet, a bridge ahead of you, and the courage to create your own way forward.
"Because love — real love — doesn’t follow scripts. It’s a space where we can be vulnerable, rebellious, poetic, imperfect.”
