Todos Santos, Mexico, offers a vibrant and eclectic ambiance, combining traditional Mexican charm with a bohemian atmosphere. When Amelia from Carat Weddings saw the new space at Santa Terra, she was instantly inspired to create a styled shoot for her company. Enchanted by the venue, she immediately called the photographer Fabi Rosas to share her excitement. Following that, she reached out to Inventive and Design 23 to discuss the venue, the shoot, and her vision. Everyone was thrilled, and that’s how the project began.
The location played a significant role in shaping Amelia’s vision. She envisioned something colorful and vibrant, and Santa Terra provided the perfect canvas. This oasis, with its numerous excellent photo spots, allowed us to utilize various locations on the property. The planners injected a colorful palette of flowers, keeping the furniture clean and modern to contrast with the vibrant oranges and pinks of the blooms. Citrus fruits were added to enhance the refreshing vibe, and the result was named “Citric Summer Style.”
The couple radiated elegance, exuding sophistication and charm with the groom in a classic black tuxedo. His white shirt, paired with a black bow tie, added a timeless touch. The bride looked stunning in a lace gown by Isabel Rocha Moda, adorned with delicate beadwork and a long, flowing train that embodied grace and beauty. Her look was complemented by a sparkling headpiece and drop earrings, adding a touch of glamor to her ensemble.
The stationery’s modern, chic design set the tone for the event. The invitation suite featured bright, bold colors and included details in a vibrant orange envelope.
The couple had their first look under the sunlight, sharing an intimate moment that captured their joy and love. The chemistry between them was clear in every candid and posed shot, making for a truly memorable day.
The ceremony took place on the terrace of the Vineyard at Santa Terra, a lovely wood deck. The planners at Carat Weddings added, “We didn’t want a regular arch, so we thought of an organic structure that went along with the team, including the flowers and nice elegant and modern chairs. Then, the entrance decor for the aisle was clay pots with more flowers to tie the whole design. The welcome sign had citrus as decor to keep the style across all the parts of the shooting.”
The ceremony was heartfelt, with personal vows that tocuhed all the guests. The joy and excitement of the guests were palpable as they applauded the newlyweds.
The cocktail hour at this styled shoot was a delightful and relaxed experience. Guests were treated to a unique oyster bar set up against the backdrop of an old wooden boat, offering a variety of oysters along with lemons and different sauces for an enhanced tasting experience. The rustic setup was beautifully complemented by the modern and chic decor, which included a cozy lounge area with comfortable seating and stylish details. The guests raised their glasses in celebration, enjoying the moment and the beautiful surroundings.
The reception took place at the brand new venue called La Barca, known for its three old boats incorporated into the decor. Embracing the venue’s unique elements, the reception included tables arranged around its stunning trees, with a special “Head Table” built around one of them. The remaining tables were rectangular, maintaining a clean and modern theme. The reception tables were adorned with vibrant florals mixed with citrus fruits, making them the main eye-catchers. A Moroccan structure at the venue served as a backdrop for the sweetheart table, complemented by a unique floral arrangement in front. The dance floor featured a structure with natural lanterns and greenery on the sides, blending seamlessly with the venue’s trees.
It was a full day of collaboration and effort to bring this shoot to life. A fantastic team of the wedding professionals in La Baja came together to create this stunning look. Though it was a long day, the experience was incredibly fun, and everyone was thrilled with the outcome. When the DJ started playing music to open the dance floor, no one wanted to leave.
We recreated a whole wedding day for this shooting; each part was my favorite.
