The editorial at The Allison Inn & Spa captured the kind of romance that feels refined and sincerely intimate. Nestled in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, the venue set a warm and luxurious tone, with golden light streaming across its stone walls and garden terraces. “The Allison Inn really set the tone for the entire editorial. The Allison Inn & Spa is the perfect setting for an elevated, intimate wedding, where luxury meets the natural beauty of Oregon wine country,” shared the photographer Marcela Pulido.
Look Inspired by Venue
Kira wore a Martina Liana gown from True Society. Designed in blush-textured silk organza, the dress had a high halter neckline that wrapped elegantly around her neck and dipped into a low back. “This was one of my favorite details of the whole look,” Marcela admitted. The detachable bow at the back added a delicate accent, and the dress’s soft pattern echoed the venue’s custom carpets, which were designed to mimic wine splatters.
The hair and makeup by Blushing Bride PDX kept the look natural. Romantic waves framed her face, and rose-tinted makeup enhanced her glowing skin, perfectly harmonizing with the Mocha Mousse-inspired palette. “We felt that it truly embodied the venue,” the photographer shared.
Ceremony Framed by Golden Light
The inn’s garden was chosen for its quiet charm and versatility. “I fell in love with their outdoor garden space upon our first site visit and knew that it would be the perfect backdrop for a place that feels effortlessly romantic,” said Marcela. The venue could host both a 25-person intimate gathering or a larger 100-guest celebration, which gave flexibility to the concept.
Florals by Pollinate Flowers brought depth to the ceremony scene. Mocha roses, café-au-lait dahlias, and soft blush accents connected visually with the dress and linens. The arrangements were designed sustainably, later transitioning from ceremony to reception tables.
Marcela focused on capturing both the architectural lines and personal moments. “Every element was purposefully chosen to create a cohesive story,” she explained. The spiral staircase portraits reflected the venue’s modern design, while soft golden-hour images of Kira and William highlighted their connection against the romantic garden backdrop.
"It was a combination of modern meets romantic escape nestled in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.”

Venue Character & Artistic Details
The venue’s mix of stone, glass, and wood created a contemporary but inviting setting. “Its aesthetic directly shaped the shoot’s ambiance—with its beautiful garden space,” Marcela noted. Golden sunlight filled the terraces, rooms, and stairs, enhancing the earthy palette chosen for the shoot.
Personalized details added charm to the day. Couple enjoyed a coffee break at Intentional Espresso, and Bowtie & Brush created live watercolor portraits using wine from the venue—a unique way to tie in Oregon’s wine country heritage. Stationery by Trellis Creative Co brought sophistication with Mocha Mousse tones and metallic wax seals.

"The shoot was conceived as elevated, intentional, and warm, weaving together luxury textures and details to evoke an intimate, refined atmosphere.”

Design With Luxurious Textures
Planner Jaime Ta Creative designed the tables with mocha linens from BBJ La Tavola. The Copper Birch fabric mixed deep brown, chestnut, and a touch of metallic gold, paired with vintage glassware and gold flatware from Setting the Table Rentals. The menu cards echoed the stationery’s refined lettering, creating a consistent flow.
The floral centerpieces carried the color theme into the overall design. Pollinate Flowers combined roses, hydrangeas, café-au-lait dahlias, and textural greenery in layered, garden-style arrangements, rising gracefully above the tables.
The cake by Banquette Bakery was styled as a true art piece. Its muted mocha tones, fresh flowers, and draped silky fabric tied it into the floral arrangements and lavish table textures.

"In true magic-maker style, the team adapted on the fly, reworking florals, timing, and styling seamlessly. The result? A heartfelt shoot that felt both natural and luxe.”
