This shoot was all about pushing boundaries. Cultivate Retreats and Avonne Photography collaborated to create something bold, fashion-forward, and totally unexpected. Inspired by vintage Gucci vibes and the venue’s black-and-white tiled floors, the concept centered on a monochrome red palette – rich, moody, and made to stand out.
Captured by Brianna Graca Weddings, the vision came to life with purpose and undeniable style. Her editorial approach captured every detail, from bold textures to quiet, intimate moments, delivering photos that feel cinematic, fashion-forward, and totally timeless.
Fashion
The vision centered on creating a clean, elevated, and sexy aesthetic with sharp lines and bold contrasts. The bridal look drew inspiration from vintage Hollywood glam, reimagined with modern details by Underground Artistry and Bridal By Regina.
The team was especially drawn to the dramatic draping of the gown, which echoed the striking ceremony setting, where flowing red fabric framed the space with the same bold elegance.
"I Do" in Red
Set in a beautifully restored historic home-turned-wedding venue, the space offered design inspiration at every turn. The bold black-and-white marble floors became the centre of the entire concept.
To show their striking contrast, ceremony chairs were arranged in alternating colors down each row, with reception seating following suit – a playful, stylish nod to the venue’s architectural charm.
Red, Set, Go
The bold, color-drenched florals by A Cottage Gardener were directly inspired by vintage Gucci, pulling from their iconic bags, campaigns, and timeless aesthetic. This fusion of classic, retro, modern, and sexy was reflected in every bloom. Using just one striking color allowed the florals to anchor the entire design and become a major visual element throughout the design.
To tie it all together, silver bowls and vintage-style ice cream coupes accented the cocktail hour, alongside playful touches like a red rotary phone, Gucci shopping bags, and velvet linens. Feathers were even added to the paper goods, bringing in texture and depth to every detail.
"The most challenging part of the shoot was the distance. We heavily relied on vendor contacts and communication to vet the team we were putting together along with trusting the vision and design boards that everything would come together in person."
