This styled shoot, meticulously crafted under the guidance of the Sara Judith Events team, has become a true testament to the enduring legacy of the Trapp Family Lodge and the indelible mark left by the Von Trapp family. This event served as a challenge to tradition, urging couples to display courage and inspiration while paying homage to their chosen venue’s timeless beauty and rich history.
After fleeing Austria, the Von Trapp family found solace and opportunity in the heart of the United States, making their way through Niagara, NY, before settling in the serene embrace of Vermont’s Green Mountains. Here, amidst 2,600 acres of rolling hills and sweeping vistas reminiscent of their homeland, they established a residence and a legacy.
In a nod to Vermont’s scenic splendor, Sara Judith Events hosted a styled shoot to capture the essence of destination weddings in the Green Mountain State. Spearheaded by visionary Kaylen founder Sara Judith Events and with the help of Emily from Tipsy Tulip Designs, the shoot celebrated boldness against verdant landscapes.
The design ethos centered on infusing vibrant colors into the natural canvas of the Vermont mountains, challenging the notion that weddings in such settings must adhere to a muted palette. Drawing inspiration from the Trapp family’s pioneering spirit, each element of the shoot exuded a kaleidoscope of hues, echoing of their history.
From the ceremony at the concert meadow, where a resplendent floral structure took center stage, to the reception tent adorned with bursts of color, every detail paid homage to the audacity of embracing vibrancy amidst tranquility. Even the cake, with its silhouette of the Green Mountains and grazing Highlander cattle, served as a whimsical tribute to the lodge’s pastoral surroundings.
