A cherry-red cake, a couture dress, and a glass of champagne in hand—this bridal editorial redefines what it means to be a modern bride. Shot by Janina Laszlo in the private, sun-drenched atelier of Sabine Heberle, this shoot is a celebration of energy and elevated rebellion. It’s for brides who crave confidence in their bridal style and want to feel stunning, powerful, and playful all at once.
Idea Behind the Shoot
“This editorial was born from a shared desire to create something bold, chic, and entirely fresh—something that luxury brides could look at and say, ‘This is how I want to feel on my wedding day,’” said Janina Laszlo. Together with planner Trang Ngo from COEUR – Weddings & Events, she envisioned a bride who is sensual, confident, and unafraid to blur the lines between timeless bridal beauty and editorial cool. The concept played on contrast—between softness and sharpness, elegance and play, innocence and rebellion.
Letizia, the model from PARS Management, was central to this transformation. Her presence tied the story together, moving fluidly through each scene: from getting-ready moments to full glam party shots. With every frame, the bride’s personality expanded—she was never passive, always a character. “The vision? A modern bride in motion: self-confident, sensual, and not afraid to blur the lines between timeless beauty and fashion-forward expression.”
Bold Color Palette
From the beginning, color was key. “The color palette—crisp red and white—felt daring and deliciously unexpected for a bridal shoot,” Janina explained. “Think: ripe strawberries, crimson chili peppers, champagne towers spiced with heat.” Red became more than an accent—it was emotion, heat, glamour, humor. The contrast with white made every detail sharper, more intentional. Burgundy nails, cherry lips, ruby accessories—all popped against lace veils and ivory gowns. The red took on texture and form: feathers, fondant, and fruit.
One of the most playful and visually arresting details was the cake from Diana’s Süßes Atelier—a vibrant, cheeky sculpture in red buttercream, topped with glossy cherries. Letizia posed beside it with a forkful of frosting and a lipstick-smudged laugh. In another scene, she licked the knife clean, her white dress sculptural and sharp. These moments turned bridal imagery on its head, but always with taste and purpose. The color choices helped unify the diversity of moods and looks, giving the shoot both energy and coherence.
Versatile Venue
Instead of a traditional wedding venue, Janina and the team chose a more personal space: the atelier of hair and makeup artist Sabine Heberle. It was not only beautiful and light-filled but also intimate—full of character, warmth, and creativity. “Rather than shooting in a grand estate or famous venue, we leaned into the intimacy of a private, curated setting,” Janina shared. This gave the team complete creative freedom, with every corner styled as a new backdrop.
Some scenes looked like bridal boudoir prep, with lace robes and natural light spilling onto soft fabrics. Others were high-gloss editorial moments with flash, props, and attitude. A black backdrop and velvet textures brought contrast. A champagne tower became the focal point of a party scene. A disco clutch lay on green velvet next to jewelry and red chilies. The studio’s versatility allowed the story to shift from soft to bold in seconds.
Details With Bite
Styling by Petra Seibold was one of the strongest elements in the shoot. Known for dressing icons like Heidi Klum and Tilda Swinton, Petra brought a strong point of view. The fashion narrative moved in deliberate chapters: a sheer lace bodysuit and robe hinted at bridal morning; a corseted dress with cutouts marked the ceremony; a red feathered gown and coupe glass suggested afterparty glam. Each look was complete—no fillers, no clichés.
Letizia wore every outfit like a character—at times soft, at times playful, at times completely in control. The white dress with a giant satin bow and silver arm cuff was one of the most sculptural moments. In contrast, the fitted mini with sheer paneling and bold accessories spoke to a fearless bride ready to dance all night. The western-inspired fringe dress paired with a veil brought unexpected movement. Together, these looks told a full wedding story, compressed into a day of imagery.
Makeup and hair, done by Sabine Heberle, elevated the whole experience. “Glowing, sculpted skin with soft accents” defined the look. Sabine used Dior Beauty’s Dioriviera Sommer 2025 collection alongside DOC.Berger Effect skincare to create a radiant base. Deep red lips, bold brows, and glossy manicures grounded the beauty in modern luxury. Hair remained relaxed and textured, never over-styled, giving the entire shoot an unfussy confidence.
Allure Wedding & Event brought in curated decor that aligned with the visual language of the shoot—modern, high-end, but never overdone. Minimalism came through in details: sculptural props, metallic accents, and carefully arranged objects like golden combs, disco-ball clutches, and strands of pearls. On green velvet, red chilies and jewelry became more than styling—they felt symbolic, like fragments of a bride’s personality laid bare.
Stationery from Papier Romantik added softness and polish without distracting from the visuals. Everything worked as part of the larger story. No single detail tried to dominate; instead, each one added another layer to the mood. “Creating editorial imagery that still feels emotional and aspirational for real brides was key,” Janina said—and the art direction reflected that from start to finish.
Framed With Intention
Throughout the editorial, Janina’s eye brought everything into focus. Her compositions were bold yet clean. She used lighting not only to flatter the subject, but to shift the tone: natural light for intimacy, flash for drama, shadows for edge. Her attention to emotion—whether it was Letizia’s laughter, her daring, or her calm—kept the images from feeling overly stylized. “For me as the photographer, it was all about capturing that blend: clean composition, bold lighting, authentic emotion.”
Behind the scenes, Bridal Party Content captured motion and content in real time. “She documented the transformation of each look and the details often missed—making the content as valuable for brides as it is for planners and stylists,” Janina noted. These clips gave another layer to the work, making it feel alive, accessible, and full of movement.
One of the biggest challenges was keeping every setup feeling fresh across so many fashion changes and lighting moods. “One of the most exciting aspects was the diversity of looks and scenes. From softly lit, natural bridal prep to bold, flash-lit party scenes with a champagne tower and chili details—it felt like capturing an entire wedding day in miniature.” Each setup required quick changes, fast lighting adjustments, and a clear eye to keep the story coherent. But the result was worth it—an editorial full of richness, range, and personality.
