Another fantastic Bridal Fashion Week has ended, leaving us with inspiration and trends for all the brides-to-be out there. We thoroughly enjoyed the diverse array of designs and styles showcased. Though each brand brings its unique DNA and signature silhouettes to the forefront, they ensure there’s something to captivate every bride.
As we delved into the Fall 2024 collections, we couldn’t help but notice a few exciting trends that were gracing the runways. So, here’s what we observe and what we recommend you keep in mind as you embark on your wedding dress shopping journey this season.
1) Two-Piece Bridal Sets
We’re absolutely in love with two-piece bridal sets. Not only do they exude modern style and elegance, but they’re also incredibly comfortable and versatile enough to wear well beyond your wedding day. Designers are offering a diverse range of fabrics, designs, and unique elements in these sets.
Liz Martinez delights us with an elegant set featuring a delicate, spaghetti strap top and a luxurious, fluid silk satin skirt. The skirt features a beautiful front slit, designed to sit high on the waist, flattering the figure beautifully. Prea James Bridal presents a chic and modern-edge silhouette with a curved neckline on the corset top and a lightweight, high-waisted skirt with delicate front knot detailing. Rime Arodacky‘s ensemble seamlessly blends romance and passion. The corset-style top boasts tulle side cut-outs, while the voluminous lace skirt adds an extra layer of allure.
Dana Harel introduces the Rose set, which includes a hand-crocheted tea-length pencil skirt with a back slit and a long-sleeve crop top featuring a high neck and an open back. There’s also the Blubell, a luxurious set in silk duchess that includes a low-rise half-circle skirt adorned with 3D organza flowers. These sets offer a world of options for brides looking for unique and stylish bridal attire.
2) Peplum Tops
A peplum top is often considered highly flattering for a woman’s body. It accentuates the waist, adds an extra touch of frill, and provides a stylish cover for the lower belly area. This season, designers present fantastic ways to incorporate peplums into bridal fashion.
Liz Martinez‘s dress pays delicate homage to the peplum, as the top’s edges adorned with embroidered flowers gracefully cascade along the hips and form what appears to be ribbon ties at the back. In Andrew Kwon‘s dress, a silver sheer peplum, and in Rime Arodacky‘s dress, a lace peplum transforms into striking trains at the back, creating stunning volume. Peter Langner‘s strapless architectural ball gown features a draped skirt with an asymmetrical peplum that adds an extra layer to the dress, accentuating its upper part.

3) Bows Are Everywhere
In addition to the elegant, minimalist wedding dresses, designers are venturing into grander options this season. One notable trend making a comeback is the incorporation of bows. While not entirely novel in the world of weddings, bows bring a fresh and welcomed touch of playfulness, whimsy, and femininity to bridal ensembles.
These charming bows are making appearances everywhere, from the delicate, petite bows adorning the back of Sareh Nouri dresses and gracing the waistlines of Mark Ingram Atelier and Andrew Kwon creations to the oversized, removable bows of Nadia Manjarrez and the detachable dramatic sleeves by Prea James Bridal. The Fall collection from HONOR showcases bows in various shapes and sizes, whether embellishing trimmed veils, forming a recurring pattern throughout a gown, or adorning bodices.
4) Sheer Fabrics
This season has brought forth a plethora of full-length dresses crafted from lightweight and semi-sheer fabrics, catering to confident brides who wish to express their true selves. The options abound, from the more modest, high-necked, long-sleeved creations by Esé Azénabor to the ethereal organza gowns with puff sleeves designed by HONOR. For those who seek a balance between structured and flowy, there are dresses featuring corset tops with sweetheart necklines and billowing skirts, beautifully exemplified by the works of Francesca Miranda and Galia Lahav.

5) Soft Colors
Colors continue to stir the imagination of designers, breathing fresh life into their creative palettes and offering captivating alternatives to the traditional white. While the Spring 2024 showcased dramatic and vibrant hues, this season introduced softer shades such as vanilla, lavender, dusty pink, silver, lime green, and blue. To infuse an extra touch of softness and delicacy, designers are incorporating ruffles (Andrew Kwon), ruched floral prints (HONOR), and 3D flowers (Ines Di Santo, Nadia Manjarrez) into their dresses. The SOUCY dresses from the latest collection pay tribute to the designer’s mother and her love for flowers. These delicate shades, combined with textured fabrics, beautifully embody the grace and elegance of blooming flowers.

6) Statement Florals
Bridal fashion is in full bloom, with flowers appearing in various captivating forms. Kaviar Gauche‘s strapless column dresses incorporate flower rosettes on the bust or complemented by a detachable floral bolero. Milla Nova adds a touch of romance with a stunning stretch crepe gown featuring a halter neckline adorned with a delicate flower. Their mini-length dress makes a statement with a skirt covered in floral appliqués. Nadia Manjarrez‘s strapless Italian tulle gown achieves a drop waist effect through meticulously crafted 3D florals on the skirt. Esé Azénabor‘s ballgown takes floral elegance to the next level with oversized floral bodices and petals adorning the entire skirt.
7) Eye-Cathing Capes
Designers present many options to elevate your bridal attire and create a striking statement. For instance, Milla Nova‘s collection includes chic feathered capes and oversized jackets adorned with textured roses that make a stunning addition to both brides and, surprisingly, grooms. Esé Azénabor crafts voluminous floral capes that radiate sophistication. And, of course, we have a soft spot for Francesca Miranda‘s delicate, bubbly silk organza cape/oversleeves.
