Harris Reed has been showing at London Fashion Week for five seasons now, and if anyone was expecting the label to tone down its exaggerated silhouettes over time, this collection proved otherwise. “I give you Loud Whispers, my 11th show for Harris Reed and a celebration of 5 years at London Fashion Week,” Reed shared. “This collection was about taking a pause, reflecting, reimagining and refining. I will always embrace the fantasy, but I wanted to bring this collection just a little closer to this earth.”
What the designer did this time was strip color out entirely. The limited palette, white, ivory, shades of fawn, and metallics, still reads as dramatic as any of the previous color-drenched collections, proof that intensity doesn’t have to come from color alone. Reed’s signature silhouettes remained fully intact, corsets growing out from the waist, extending to frame the shoulders, or flaring into sculptural wings, form pushed and exaggerated in every direction.

“Was it all just a dream,” Reed wrote after the show. “A collection of pause, reflection and craftsmanship. Couldn’t do this without the bloody extraordinary team I have and the extraordinary women around me.” At its core, the collection was really all about structure, form built and rebuilt until it became its own kind of language.
