Jennifer and Milo, a couple based in Berlin, are both professionals in their respective fields. Jennifer is employed at a contemporary art gallery, while Milo works in the business sector. They both share a connection as alumni of the University of St Andrews and first crossed paths through mutual acquaintances. Following a year and a half of maintaining a long-distance relationship between London and Berlin, they eventually decided to establish Berlin as their shared residence. Their engagement took place in March of 2022 in the picturesque setting of New York’s Central Park, followed by a celebratory wedding in Berlin in May 2023.
The choice to host their wedding in Berlin stemmed from their desire to unite their closest friends and family from across the globe and introduce them to their newfound home city. Their wedding lacked rigid concepts or predefined visions; instead, they aimed to curate an event that reflected their authenticity and celebrated their journey together. Eschewing many traditional wedding customs, they prioritized spending quality time with each other and their guests.
The wedding weekend started with a delightful welcome dinner amidst warmth and friendship. As laughter echoed through the air, guests raised their glasses in heartfelt toasts, each speech adding an extra layer of joy to the gathering. As the evening progressed, the atmosphere became infused with the vibrant energy of a Mexican ensemble, beckoning everyone to the dance floor.

The wedding morning unfolded with a delightful sense of anticipation. Jennifer got ready in the attic of a friend’s house, where a breathtaking view of Berlin greeted her. The room buzzed with excitement yet exuded a serene energy. It was as if every person present was fully immersed in savoring every detail of this unforgettable moment.
Jennifer opted for a romantic and opulent bridal ensemble featuring a dress and veil designed by Zuhair Murad. Her “something old” was a cherished pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes, while her “something new” comprised Van Cleef Alhambra earrings gifted by her sister.
Her hair and makeup were elegantly styled by Tatiana of Esteem Makeover, evoking a timeless and glamorous aesthetic with classic waves.
Milo was getting ready at Chateau Royale. Alongside him stood his groomsmen, fostering a friendly atmosphere filled with support. The groom donned a white tuxedo jacket procured during their inaugural trip to Hong Kong, tailored by Jennifer’s father’s preferred tailor. Custom velvet slippers adorned with embroidered White Knight chess pieces, gifted to him on his 30th birthday, complemented his ensemble. Milos cufflinks, crafted by Deakin & Francis, bore the engraved symbol of their wedding dates.
The couple capitalized on the springtime setting of their May wedding, enlisting the expertise of their florists to incorporate an array of seasonal blooms such as peonies, tulips, ranunculuses, and roses.
Their wedding day was infused with an intimate and personalized atmosphere, highlighted by the decision to have one of Milo’s groomsmen serve as the officiant. Conducting the ceremony and speeches through the lens of a close friend set the tone for an emotionally resonant event. It was a heartfelt wedding ceremony, brimming with love and poignant emotions, leaving no one unaffected.
The historic ballroom, dating back to 1913, exuded an abundance of charm and character with its original chandeliers and aged mirrors, requiring minimal additional adornment aside from seasonal flowers and candles.
After the ceremony, Jennifer changed into a different dress. Claudia Klassen from Lichttrunken, captured this special atmosphere of beauty and intimacy flawlessly. Each photograph was like a piece of art, reflecting the couple’s beauty and the ambiance of this extraordinary place.
Just before stepping out to join the guests awaiting them at the reception, the couple seized a moment to change into their reception attire. As they made their grand entrance into the ballroom, a spirited remix featuring tracks by Foo Fighters, Avicii, and Journey energized the atmosphere, with guests joining in by twirling napkins to amplify the festive spirit. Witnessing the collective excitement and joy on the faces of their guests as they traversed the aisles together left an indelible impression on Jennifer and Milo, encapsulating the essence of their memorable celebration.
The reception was brimming with heartfelt conversations. The air was filled with the sound of laughter and clinking glasses. Guests delivered congratulatory speeches that elicited both joyful laughter and touching tears.
When it was time for dancing, Jennifer and Milo took to the dance floor for their first wedding dance as newlyweds, followed by heartfelt dances with their parents.
Then all the guests joined them on the dance floor, and the entire evening was filled with vibrant joy and dancing.
