Villa Pessina was never meant to be just a backdrop. Hidden on the shores of Lake Como and only recently opened for private events, it feels unlike anything else on the lake, less formal, less expected, and deeply atmospheric. It became the setting for Roman Ivanov‘s two-day workshop, an experience designed to blend education, creativity, and real editorial production. The first day was dedicated to learning, strategy, and industry conversations. The second brought everything to life.
Villa Pessina transformed into the stage for a fully immersive editorial designed to feel like a real wedding weekend on Lake Como. The story began with intimate morning moments inside the villa, quiet, emotional scenes filled with natural light, timeless elegance, and effortless Italian charm.
Another defining element of the editorial was the couture fashion, every gown designed and handcrafted specifically for the production and tailored to the model's measurements. Sculptural silhouettes, impeccable construction, and remarkable attention to detail elevated every scene and brought a true haute couture dimension to the story.
At the heart of the editorial was a dramatic ceremony installation framed by cascading draping and abundant florals. Designed to complement the villa's character, the scene felt both grand and intimate, a contemporary take on Lake Como romance.
Outside, the couple enjoyed the cocktail hour as the editorial continued to unfold around them. A vintage car added a classic Italian touch to the story, becoming one of the key visual moments of the production.
As the sun moved across the lake, the celebration continued with dinner on the terrace, long tables, candlelight, refined details, and uninterrupted views of Lake Como. The most memorable moment came later, inside the villa, where the team brought to life an immersive scene built around dramatic lighting, heavy low-lying fog, and a live singer performing into a vintage microphone. As the couple moved through the fog, the atmosphere shifted into something intimate and cinematic, one of the true highlights of the entire editorial.
Later, the evening moved to the villa's rooftop, where guests gathered for cake and the last of the sunset light over Lake Como. The perfect way to close out the day.
