Number of guests: Around 300
Time of planning: About 1 year
Setting: Hotel
Kristina and Branislav’s love is rooted in a deep connection and lifelong history. From childhood friends to soulmates, their bond has only grown stronger with time. “We’ve literally known each other since birth,” Kristina says. “There were always sparks… One day I went over to his place—and never went back home.” Now, parents to baby Vasilije, their love story has evolved into a beautiful life they’re building together, full of laughter, patience, and mutual respect.
Branislav proposed at the Deurić winery on his birthday, the same day they discovered they were having a boy. “It was the most meaningful ‘yes’ of my life,” Kristina recalls.
Bride's Morning & Fashion
Kristina brought major elegance and edge to her wedding day look. She wore a one-shoulder satin gown by Mihano Momosa, complete with a statement rosette that gave just the right amount of drama. Her hair was styled in a classic low bun, which perfectly suited her glowy, bronzed makeup by Jelena Rox. The look was finished with Jimmy Choo heels and a white rose bouquet detailed with pearls for a modern romantic twist.
She walked into the day radiating calm confidence, totally at ease. There was this effortless mix of excitement and peace in her energy, the kind that only comes when you know you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. Classic, cool, and completely her.
First Look
Their first look took place in a quiet hallway, a private, emotional moment just for the two of them. Branislav couldn’t hold back tears when he saw Kristina in her dress for the first time.
Sharing that time together, along with a few peaceful moments with their baby boy, made the morning feel even more meaningful. It was intimate, grounding, and filled with love – everything they had hoped the day would be.
Ceremony
For the ceremony, they wanted something that felt intimate yet visually stunning – a perfect blend of tradition and style with a modern edge. The setting hit that sweet spot between cinematic and deeply personal, with every detail reflecting who they are as a couple.
Saying their vows in such a heartfelt atmosphere was everything. Kristina said it felt like a dream she didn’t want to wake up from, and Branislav couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. The emotion in the room was unforgettable, and every second of it was beautifully captured by Tamara Govedarović, preserving the magic exactly as it was.
Concept of the Wedding
Kristina and Branislav wanted the entire day to feel intentional and poetic, like walking into a dreamy scene from a film. With their son Vasilije now part of their journey, the celebration wasn’t just about them – it was about love evolving into something even deeper. Their vision was inspired by the soft beauty of East Asian art, especially cherry blossoms, which symbolize love, renewal, and the passing of time.
The aesthetic was clean and minimalist, with nods to traditional Chinese and Japanese design, as well as the cinematic feel of Memoirs of a Geisha and House of Flying Daggers. Everything had purpose – from graceful arches and calligraphy-style accents to lush florals with a painterly feel.
The couple added incredibly personal touches that made guests feel part of the story. Every person received a handwritten letter at their seat, a small but meaningful thank-you from the couple. The custom candles gifted as favors matched the floral scents of the day and were named The Blagojević Bloom. A tribute table honored grandparents who had passed, and a tiny gold bracelet for Vasilije on their sweetheart table.
Even the cocktails told their own story: The Vasilije (an elderflower gin spritz with rosemary) and The Red Silk (a spicy raspberry margarita with a sugar-salt rim) were a creative, unexpected addition to the celebration.
Reception Design
The color palette for the day was rich, romantic, and deeply intentional—anchored in deep crimson with soft touches of peach, ivory, and warm golden undertones. Red, traditionally symbolizing love, luck, and celebration, set the tone throughout the design, creating an atmosphere that felt both regal and inviting without overwhelming the space.
Florals played a key role in shaping the aesthetic. Real and silk cherry blossoms were layered with garden roses and soft greenery, creating a stunning display across tablescapes and large-scale hanging installations. The effect was immersive, like walking beneath a canopy of falling petals. Custom-built scroll-inspired backdrops and architectural panels added depth behind the altar and sweetheart table, while soft, diffused lighting gave everything a dreamy, golden-hour glow. Black and gold accents grounded the look with elegance and contrast.
Dinner & Party
One of the most unforgettable moments of the night was when the couple made their grand entrance into the reception, hand in hand and glowing with happiness. Guests rose to their feet in a standing ovation, cheering them on. Kristina’s dress shimmered under the lights, while Branislav held their son in his arms during part of their first dance, a moment that perfectly blended love, celebration, and the beauty of new beginnings as a family.
The night overflowed with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and unforgettable performances. From emotional and hilarious toasts to a surprise live violin performance during dinner, every detail added to the magic. To top it all off, the couple cut a stunning heart-shaped cake, filled with strawberries and sweet in every way. It was more than just dessert – it was a symbol of love and the perfect ending to a beautiful celebration.
Advice from the couple:
• Plan everything, but let go of perfection. The beauty is in the real moments—the unscripted laughs, the shaky hands, the unexpected tears.
• Don’t skip the quiet time together. Those ten minutes we took after the ceremony were everything.
• And one more thing: take care of each other, not just the timeline.
