Sneha and Samuel’s wedding in Alicante brought together modern elegance, personal details, and Mediterranean charm. Set against the sea at La Marr, their celebration featured sculptural florals, a custom mini-golf cocktail hour, and a thousand-candle dinner under the stars—crafted with vision and heart by La Federica.

Location: Alicante, Spain
Style: Elevated, artsy, modern classic
Time of planning: 8 months
Number of guests: 85
Setting: Event space
Season: Summer

Sneha, an American doctor, and Samuel, a Spanish professional golfer, built their relationship across continents, living between the U.S. and Spain. Their story is one of perseverance, adventure, and deep connection—turning long-distance into a shared journey of growth. “Against the odds of time and distance, our love not only endured but flourished.” Through every move and challenge, they found home in each other.

Ceremony

Set along the sunlit coastline of Alicante, the ceremony space floated above the sea, offering an uninterrupted view of the horizon. The platform, designed by La Federica, was dressed in soft white fabric that flowed with the breeze, reflecting the couple’s love for minimalism and Mediterranean beauty. Curved benches lined the lawn, each covered in sheer cloth that trailed to the ground, giving the space a calm, weightless feel. Everything pointed toward the water, letting the natural setting speak for itself.

"Among the many stunning creations of the day, our wedding bouquet stood out—a floral and pearl treasure so artful we decided to preserve it as a lasting memory. La Federica’s ability to craft such unique elements, while thinking beyond the traditional, is truly exceptional."

The altar was a sculptural installation of wrapped ivory pillars in varied heights, positioned behind two rounded white chairs. Each pillar was draped in soft fabric with a wet-effect texture that caught the light beautifully. The clean lines and neutral palette allowed the setting to feel like an open-air gallery—elevated, peaceful, and never overstated. The setup was not only artistic, but symbolic of the couple’s taste for structure and elegance.

The couple sat side by side at the altar as the ceremony unfolded in both Spanish and English, honoring their guests from around the world. The intimate format allowed them to take in the faces of their loved ones and fully absorb the moment. As a surprise exit, Sneha and Samuel walked beneath an archway of raised golf clubs—a playful nod to Samuel’s profession and a personal touch that brought laughter and applause as they stepped into married life.

"If heaven was a place on earth, it was there on our wedding day altar."

Cocktail Hour

The cocktail hour unfolded under tall palm trees on a sunlit lawn, with views of the sea just steps away. La Federica designed a relaxed and elevated atmosphere using draping, layered linens, and sculptural floral pieces. Tables were covered in soft cream and white fabric, flowing down to the grass in long, gentle folds. Lush clusters of white hydrangeas and anthuriums filled oversized metallic vases, bringing texture and volume to the space without adding color. Lounge areas with boucle sofas and gold-rimmed tables created a comfortable place for guests to unwind and take in the setting.

Grazing tables overflowed with cheese, fresh fruit, breads, and nuts arranged on silver platters, styled like still lifes against the floral arrangements. Guests were welcomed into the space with soft background music and a refined Mediterranean spread. Overhead, mirrored disco balls reflected sunlight across the lawn, adding a playful touch that hinted at the celebration to come. One of the most personal details was the custom mini-golf installation created by the bride, adding a lighthearted and interactive moment for guests—many of whom were golfers themselves.

"La Federica embraced every detail that was dear to us, from artful elements to meaningful nods to golf, culminating in an unforgettable candlelit dinner."

Decor & Setting

The reception took place outdoors beneath the open sky, where two long tables stretched across the lawn, covered in clean ivory linen. Instead of traditional florals, La Federica filled the center of the tables with rows of glowing white candles—hundreds of them placed tightly in clear glass cylinders. As daylight faded, the tables lit up with flickering flame, creating a soft wave of light that danced across the glassware and linens.

The design was minimal but rich in texture. Each place setting featured modern ceramic plates with hand-drawn menu cards and personalized white ribbons tied to delicate coupe glasses. Transparent ribbed glassware added a quiet architectural element to the tabletop, echoing the modern lines seen throughout the wedding. Ivory Chiavari chairs completed the look, keeping the focus on the candlelight and the communal feel of the dinner. Everything about the reception decor reflected the couple’s desire for intimacy, elegance, and an artful, unforgettable experience.

"For the dinner, we wanted the couple to feel as if they were hosting their loved ones for an intimate and familial gathering."

Reception

“As the sun set, the only light came from the 1,000 candles adorning the tables and the projection of a massive moon over the sea, enveloping the night in an atmosphere of pure magic,” said Julia, the florist & stylist of La Federica. Guests gathered at two long tables surrounded by rows of flickering candles, creating a warm, golden path of light that stretched across the lawn.

The setting was quiet but powerful—only the glow of candlelight illuminated the space, with soft shadows dancing across the guests’ faces. Overhead, a projection of a full moon rising over the sea added a surreal backdrop, echoing the couple’s vision of a “candlelit dinner under the stars and moon.” Between toasts and conversations, laughter filled the air as guests raised their coupe glasses, each tied with a custom ribbon printed with their name.

"For our reception, we wanted to break away from classic florals and instead embrace the natural beauty of the night at our outdoor venue by creating a “candlelit dinner under the stars and moon.”

From above, the reception appeared like an art installation—candles arranged in perfect lines, surrounded by glowing orbs across the grass. The scene felt both modern and timeless. One of the most emotional highlights came during a special toast from Samuel, who surprised Sneha’s parents by speaking in their native South Indian language. The gesture moved the entire table. Between heartfelt moments and quiet elegance, the evening unfolded exactly as the couple had dreamed: full of connection, surprise, and light.

"La Federica, with their keen eye for latest wedding trends and deep respect for tradition, gave us the wedding of our dreams. Working with this talented sister duo was an absolute joy, and we will forever be grateful to Maria and Julia for making our vision a reality."

Advice from the couple:

Design a wedding that is a true reflection of you. There are no rules—only what feels authentic. The more personal touches you weave into your day, the more meaningful and unforgettable it becomes. If you have a unique vision or idea that hasn’t been done before, go for it. You’ll love bringing it to life—and you might inspire future couples along the way or unexpectedly create a beautiful trend.
