This styled shoot is a fresh take on elegance, wrapped in breathtaking beauty and crafted with a passion for the tiniest details. Set at the beautiful Bjärka-Säby Castle, the shoot reflects a fusion of French-inspired charm and contemporary flair. It’s a little story woven with personal touches and heartfelt moments. From the handcrafted tablecloth to the ocean-aged champagne, each element adds a unique layer to this visual narrative, proving that the most stunning weddings are those filled with stories waiting to be told.
Concept Behind the Shoot
The idea for this shoot came from a love for thoughtful, carefully chosen details. The creative team at Honey Wasp fell in love with the look of draped tablecloths and knew they’d be the star of the show, adding texture and a touch of sophistication. Bjärka-Säby Castle, with its stunning architecture and intricate stucco, turned out to be the perfect setting. The shoot was originally planned for a different spot, but thanks to Scandinavia’s unpredictable weather, they had to switch at the last minute. It was a happy accident—the castle’s peaceful surroundings and grand design brought an extra layer of charm to the shoot.
"Our vision was to create a beautiful balance between timeless elegance and modern touches."

Inspiration
The team drew inspiration from their love of drapery and the timeless elegance of French style. Think silver touches, delicate pastries, and beautiful stucco work—while those exact elements didn’t make it into the shoot, the vibe definitely did. They paired that classic inspiration with modern touches like a structured corset gown and sleek, contemporary florals, blending old-world charm with a modern twist.
Honey Wasp didn’t just handle the photography—they were behind the entire design of the shoot as well. That double role made everything feel super cohesive like each shot was part of the same story. Their knack for combining design with photography really shines through, with every picture feeling like a little work of art. They managed to tie together that mix of timeless and modern in a way that felt effortless and fresh.
Fashion
“Obviously, we’re all a bit obsessed with corsets, and the bridal look totally embraced that,” shared the Honey Wasp. The structured corset was the star, mixing classic elegance with a modern edge. Its clean lines and perfect fit highlighted the bride’s silhouette, while the soft fabric added a delicate touch. Complementing the corset was a flowing skirt from Bröllopsbruket Linköping that brought movement and grace to the look, perfectly balancing the structured top. The veil from En till Fest added an ethereal quality with its delicate lace trim, tying together the entire ensemble.
Makeup by Glam by Luna was kept simple and glowing, letting her natural beauty shine through. The sleek updo tied everything together in a chic, effortless way. The whole look felt timeless but fresh, just like the shoot itself.
The bouquet by Blommica was another standout feature, perfectly complementing the bridal look. It featured a bold mix of white calla lilies and lush greenery, adding both texture and drama without overwhelming the simplicity of the gown. The monochrome palette kept things sophisticated, while the varied shapes and sizes of the blooms brought an unexpected, modern twist. The bouquet’s structured yet organic feel echoed the balance of classic and contemporary seen throughout the shoot, tying everything together beautifully.
Overall Design
The decor was all about simplicity with a personal touch. The draped tablecloth stole the spotlight, made from over 30 meters of fabric with help from photographer Gustav’s 90-year-old grandmother. She’s been sewing her whole life, even making her own wedding dress, so this detail added a sweet, sentimental vibe to the shoot. To make it even more special, they used silver scissors that had been a family wedding gift to cut the fabric.
"This collaboration gave the tablecloth a personal and historical significance, making it the true heart of the editorial."

The champagne tower added a fun, celebratory feel. But what really made it unique was the story behind the bottles—they came from Champagne Gaston Révolte Don de la Mer, a family-run company in France that ages their champagne on the ocean floor. The coral-covered bottles brought a cool, organic feel to the shoot and fit perfectly with the theme of timeless elegance.
This shoot wasn’t just about creating a beautiful setting—it was about blending generations, stories, and modern elegance into something truly personal. The fusion of heartfelt traditions and contemporary style inspires couples to craft weddings that feel uniquely their own. Because in the end, it’s the little things—the stitches, the textures, the unexpected touches—that leave the most lasting impressions.
