Lauren and Braxton’s love story began in the summer of 2014 when they met while working at Gensler New York, an architecture and design firm. What started as a close friendship turned into something much more after a serendipitous trip to London in 2016, where they realized they were meant to be together. “We had been ‘best friends’ for years, but that trip changed everything,” Lauren recalls. After a few years in New York, they decided to start a new chapter together in Portland, Oregon. Braxton proposed on Lauren’s favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, at Camber Sands in the UK. “He proposed on a quiet beach with just the two of us, a nod to our London trip years earlier. To me, it was the perfect proposal,” Lauren shares. Their story is one of friendship, adventure, and love growing stronger with every step.
The Vision & Videography
The couple always knew they wanted a destination wedding, imagining a celebration that would allow them to spend more than just one evening with their closest friends and family. Cabo became the obvious choice after reminiscing about their first vacation there, where they had a memorable lunch at Flora Farms. The stunning day was beautifully captured by One Cameraman, whose video felt like a heartfelt movie, weaving together their love story, Cabo’s breathtaking scenery, and the unforgettable moments shared with loved ones. His ability to capture candid emotions, intricate details, and sweeping landscapes added an artistic touch, ensuring every frame told a part of their story.
Couple's Morning & Fashion
Lauren’s wedding morning was filled with joy and excitement, perfectly blending elegance and warmth. She radiated confidence in a stunning Anne Barge gown featuring clean lines and a timeless silhouette that matched her chic style. Her veil from Ofrenda Studio added a touch of ethereal beauty, cascading softly to frame her radiant smile. Christian Louboutin‘s heels complemented her look, adding modern sophistication and jewelry with deep personal significance—a custom engagement ring, a Jean Dousset diamond wedding band, and earrings from her mother.
Piel Canela Makeup Studio worked their magic to create a natural, luminous look, highlighting Lauren’s classic beauty while keeping her hair and makeup understated yet striking. The morning exuded warmth, laughter, and the undeniable glow of a bride savoring every second of her special day.
Braxton wore a perfectly tailored Ralph Lauren suit that balanced classic elegance with modern charm. For the ceremony, he wore polished Santoni shoes, later switching to bold Christian Louboutin shoes for the party, adding a stylish, playful twist. His look was elevated with meaningful accessories, including a diamond wedding band symbolizing their commitment and a timeless Tissot watch.
Ceremony
The ceremony was held outdoors under the warm sun, and the couple thoughtfully provided beautifully designed fans to keep their guests cool and comfortable. Lauren’s entrance was breathtaking as she walked down the aisle with both of her parents, adding an extra emotion to the moment. The vows were a perfect mix of touching sincerity and lighthearted humor, with Lauren and Braxton exchanging sweet words and playful jokes that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Captured beautifully by One Cameraman, the video masterfully conveyed the geniune emotions, the couple’s joy, and the stunning beauty of the surroundings, creating a keepsake to cherish forever.
Cocktail Hour
Flora Farms was the perfect setting for the celebration, with its natural beauty creating an effortlessly special atmosphere. “It is so beautiful that you really don’t have to do much for it to feel special,” the couple shared. As big food lovers, the quality of the food was a top priority, and it clearly left an impression. “People still talk to me about how good the food was,” the bride said, reflecting on the memorable feast. After the heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed precious time with their guests, mingling over cocktails and enjoying the moment.
"Our cocktails were named the Harlem Shake (after the restaurant where we had our first "date") and the Real Principles Retreat (a nod to the fact that we had almost 30 people at our wedding from the company where we met."

Reception Decor & Celebration
The reception space was elegantly designed, with a stunning white theme that took center stage. Rather than drawing inspiration from other events, the couple focused on highlighting the natural beauty of Flora Farms, enhancing it with their vision of classic, romantic elegance. The result was a setting that felt both timeless and perfectly aligned with the venue’s charm.
The reception began with the newlyweds sharing their first dance, a moment that perfectly aligned with the golden hour, casting a warm, ethereal glow over the scene and making it absolutely unforgettable.
The newlyweds were showered with heartfelt and touching wishes from their family and loved ones, creating moments filled with emotion and warmth. They fully embraced the celebration, enjoying every special moment. To extend the festivities, they hosted a lively pool party at the JW Marriott the following day, which became one of the standout highlights of the weekend. It offered a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, allowing them to spend extra time with the cherished friends and family who had traveled so far to be part of their special day.
"They're constantly supporting each other, always laughing, they're always listening."
Advice from the couple:
• I have no regrets about pushing back on an extended guest list — there was not a single person there that we minded spending time with and that’s priceless. I definitely had to have some tough conversations but I think it was worth it.
• Weddings are too expensive to only be 6 hours of your life. Do a destination and have multiple events to extend the experience and spend more time with the people you love — you’ll probably never have all them in one place ever again. Doing a destination wedding at a vacation destination also lets people get out of their day-to-day routines and really let loose! They’ll come ready to party instead of thinking of what time they have to drive home.
