Time of planning: 1,5 years
Number of guests: 220
Setting: Private property
Season: Summer

Nacho, a pharmacist, and Irene, an airline pilot, met in the most unexpected way—when Irene casually walked into Nacho’s pharmacy for antihistamines. From that moment, a unique connection formed between them, and Irene jokingly said that “she never had to pay for her medicine again!” Their love story took a surprising turn with a truly unforgettable proposal.

The proposal was a beautifully orchestrated surprise. Irene had a long day ahead, starting with an early morning flight to Santander and then continuing to Las Palmas. She arrived at the airport at 6 AM, expecting just another routine day. But when she opened the airplane door, the entire crew and some of the ground staff were already there, playing their roles seamlessly. Irene didn’t suspect a thing. Then, a ground team member brought in a famous singer Irene adored, and he performed two songs for her. It was completely unexpected, and as he left, he mentioned it had been a Christmas gift from her boyfriend. Once the flight took off, Irene’s colleague insisted she take a break, and when she stepped out of the flight deck, there was Nacho, holding the passenger announcement microphone, ready to make his proposal. Irene was completely overwhelmed by the gesture. And now, their story continues after that heartfelt “Yes, I do.”

The Vision & Photography

The couple dreamed of a wedding that was truly their own—intimate, deeply personal, and unlike any other. For them, it wasn’t just about creating a beautiful event but about sharing something meaningful. They wanted their vendors to recognize and appreciate this vision, seeking out talented providers and genuine people who shared a passion for their craft. Finding a photographer to capture this vision was especially important for the couple. Diego De Rando exceeded their expectations, perfectly capturing the essence of their love, the unique charm of the ceremony, the special moments with the horses, and the entire magical atmosphere in his signature stylish and editorial style.

Wedding Day

The Morning & Fashion

Irene’s wedding dress was a custom creation by Jorge Redondo, crafted in his Madrid atelier. The design process began with Irene sharing a few sketches of her dream dress, with a little help from her mother. From there, Jorge brought those ideas to life, transforming the concept into a stunning gown. “Then his hands did ‘the draft,’ and then magic happened,” she recalls. Knowing she wanted comfort and versatility, Irene chose YSL‘s Tribute sandals—elegant shoes she could wear after her wedding day. Her accessories carried deep personal meaning, including diamond studs, a rope bracelet that had belonged to her mother, and a personalized pin featuring their branding iron, a gift from her mother.

Her makeup was entrusted to Jessica Arques, a close friend who made the process effortless. For her hair, she turned to Piluca Porcar, her long-time stylist. The bouquet was the only detail that caused some hesitation, as Irene isn’t particularly fond of flowers. But Nerea at Que Bonitas Son Las Flores created a bouquet that felt true to Irene’s style and made her feel comfortable, blending beautifully with the overall look.

Nacho’s suit was custom-made by CF Tailoring, where Carlos, the tailor, added a personal touch by including Nacho’s initials. Having worked with Carlos before, Nacho trusted him to create a perfect fit. For a meaningful detail, Nacho, his father, and his brother all wore pocket handkerchiefs with personalized text and matching boutonnieres crafted by the florist. The only accessory Nacho chose for the day was his cherished Rolex watch, adding a timeless touch to his look.

Ceremony

The ceremony and the couple’s entrance were truly unforgettable. Nacho arrived with his mother in a grand horse-drawn carriage, adding a touch of timeless charm to the moment. Shortly after, Irene made her breathtaking entrance, gracefully stepping in with her flowing gown, creating a scene straight out of a fairytale.

The ceremony took place in a small, intimate chapel on the property, officiated by their friend Antonio, a priest who traveled all the way from Sevilla to marry them. They met Antonio years ago during a renowned horseback pilgrimage in the Doñana Natural Park and had always known he would be the one to officiate their wedding. They cherished the idea of a classic yet personalized ceremony, and Antonio delivered it perfectly. A string quartet accompanied by a tenor added to the emotional atmosphere, playing songs the couple had thoughtfully selected for this special moment.

The ceremony was both heartwarming and beautifully intimate, filled with meaningful moments that left a lasting impression on every guest. As a special surprise, the ceremony concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the sky above the chapel and adding a magical touch to the end of their vows.

Moments Alone

After the ceremony, the newlyweds found a serene moment to simply enjoy each other’s company, capturing the joy and intimacy of their union. An air balloon, adding a touch of adventure and whimsy, served as a stunning background for their photos, providing an unexpected yet beautiful setting for Diego De Rando to capture their love. It was a moment of pure connection, surrounded by nature’s beauty and the thrill of their new beginning.

Reception & Dinner

Both the ceremony and reception took place in the same location, simplifying logistics and providing more comfort for the guests. The expansive property allowed for distinct areas to be set up effortlessly, offering plenty of room for each part of the celebration. Upon arrival, guests were treated to a delightful surprise—a hot air balloon ready for rides, adding a whimsical touch. There was also a charming lemonade bar and hand fans, adding thoughtful details to the welcoming experience.

The entire wedding’s floral design and decor were beautifully envisioned by the talented flower artist Nerea. She immediately grasped the couple’s vision during their initial meeting, making the process effortless. For the different spaces, various light decorations added to the ambiance, creating a warm and inviting setting.

The reception was filled with thoughtful, personal touches that made the celebration uniquely theirs. From a carefully curated menu with vegan options to a charming cake cart offering a variety of desserts, every detail was considered. The evening was elevated with the soulful songs of the invited singer, adding even more warmth and personality to the atmosphere.

The dinner concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, creating a magical moment that the couple truly loved. Following this, the talented singer Brequette took over, setting the tone to transition from dinner to the celebration. Her vibrant performance led guests seamlessly to the next part of the evening.

The party continued in a unique setting—an old bullring nestled within the property, transformed into a lively space for the DJ and even more surprises. It was the perfect spot to keep the energy high and ensure an unforgettable night.

Advice from the couple:

Have fun, give your best and forget the rest.
