Brontè and Kyle had their first real meeting at a brunch organized by a mutual friend in their hometown, Edmonton, Alberta. It was there they bonded over their love of New York City and soup dumplings and discovered they lived in the same building, only three floors from one another. During this meeting, Brontè knew that Kyle would be the person she would spend the rest of her life with. He was kind, intelligent, and incredibly humble, all the characteristics she was looking for in a husband.
Three years later, Kyle proposed to Brontè in the city they first bonded over, New York.
For wedding wishes, it was important for the wedding to reflect the personalities of the bride and groom. They wanted an organic feel to the wedding since they both live in the Rocky Mountains, but they also wanted to give their Canadian friends a break from the freezing cold winter and host their wedding somewhere warm.
Kyle and Brontè had spent a month at the Rosewood Mayakoba the previous year and felt it would be the perfect destination for a wedding. The wedding took place at a truly unique venue, setting itself apart from the typical beach weddings in Mexico. Instead, it was held beside a serene and picturesque lagoon, creating an enchanting atmosphere that captured the hearts of all attendees. The choice of location brought an air of tranquility and elegance to the celebration, making it a standout event in every sense.
Since they both are chronic TV addicts, they chose to model their wedding poster after HBO’s White Lotus. Their wedding processional songs also included scores from all their favorite shows, Big Little Lies, Succession, and Narcos.
Kyle and Brontè’s wedding looks were a stunning reflection of their individual styles and the overall theme of the celebration. For the ceremony, Brontè looked breathtaking in a pristine white dress, carefully selected from the Newhite Dress from the Fall Bride boutique in London. The elegance of her ensemble was accentuated by the sophisticated Dior shoes she wore down the aisle. Her reception dress, a beautiful creation by Shona Joy, added a touch of modern flair to the evening celebrations, complemented by exquisite Christine Nicolaides earrings and the radiant glow of Hailey Bieber’s wedding hair and natural makeup.
Meanwhile, Kyle exuded classic charm in a dapper suit purchased from The Helm, a local store in Edmonton. The timeless design by Brunello Cucinelli perfectly captured his refined style, while the magnanimous file shoes added a touch of flair and comfort to his wedding look. Together, the couple’s fashion choices exuded elegance and contemporary allure, adding an extra layer of charm to their already unforgettable day.
Diana from Diana Romo Weddings, the wedding planner extraordinaire, played an instrumental role in bringing Kyle and Brontè’s dream wedding to life. With her expertise and a keen eye for detail, Diana flawlessly executed the couple’s vision, ensuring that every element reflected their unique personalities and love story. From infusing the celebration with a Scandinavian-inspired charm to organizing a picturesque venue beside a serene lagoon, Diana’s creativity and dedication were evident in every aspect of the event. Her impeccable coordination and thoughtful touch with the decor, music, and interactive activities made the day truly unforgettable for the couple and their guests.
The wedding decor was a beautiful blend of organic, modern, and relaxed elements, carefully curated by Diana Romo Weddings to create an atmosphere of understated elegance. The concept and vision of the wedding were inspired by the clean lines and simplicity of Scandinavian design. The couple sought to infuse their celebration with a touch of Nordic charm, drawing inspiration from the minimalist aesthetics and natural beauty characteristic of the region.
A truly unique aspect of the decor was the minimalistic approach to flowers. Instead of elaborate arrangements, the couple opted for extremely minimal yet stunning displays. Fresh and dried blooms were thoughtfully placed in beautiful ceramic vases, adding a touch of delicate sophistication to the overall design. This unconventional choice highlighted the couple’s appreciation for the beauty of simplicity and perfectly complemented the overall theme of the wedding.
The officiant and flower girl arrived at Kyle and Brontè’s wedding ceremony in a captivating boat entrance, setting a magical tone for the day. Gliding gracefully across the water, their arrival added an enchanting touch that captivated everyone’s hearts.
As the couple made their way down the aisle together, they chose the soul-stirring melody of “Cold Little Heart” from HBO’s Big Little Lies. The music’s emotional resonance perfectly complemented the deep love shared between Kyle and Brontè, creating a touching and unforgettable moment during their wedding ceremony.
The reception dinner was nothing short of magical, as it was hosted under a massive tent within the breathtaking confines of a beautiful garden area at the Rosewood. The lush greenery and fragrant blooms added a touch of natural splendor to the festivities, making it an unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests. This one-of-a-kind wedding embraced the essence of love, nature, and romance, making it a day that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who attended.
Adding an interactive and tech-savvy twist to the celebration, the couple invited their guests to bring their mobile phones to the reception for an entertaining quiz game about the bride and groom. Using the popular website Kahoot, the quiz was a lively and engaging way for everyone to learn more about the couple’s journey together. Laughter and friendly competition filled the air as guests eagerly participated in the game, bonding over amusing anecdotes and heartwarming memories. This unique and personalized activity made the reception even more memorable, leaving everyone with a shared sense of joy and connection as they celebrated the love story of Kyle and Brontè.
The wedding was filled with vibrant and upbeat vibes as the couple chose to set the stage with pulsating house music. The energetic beats and infectious melodies kept the guests on their feet throughout the night, creating an electrifying and unforgettable dance floor experience. The lively house music perfectly complemented the modern and chic ambiance of the wedding, ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time celebrating the union of two souls in love.
Another personal touch at this wedding was a gambling game provided to the guests before the wedding. Kyle was a professional poker player and felt it would be fun to have guests gamble with fake money on bets like, “How many dresses will the bride wear on the wedding day?” Or “Will the groom cry during the wedding ceremony!” Points for the game would then be added up, and winners would be announced at the reception dinner. What is a wedding without a bit of gambling?
Rules:
- You have $1000 fake dollars to risk.
- For each question, you must bet $100. Whichever question you select, you have risked $100.
- All ballots will be due upon entrance to the ceremony and given to the Bookies, Calvin, and Amy Chan.
- Additional points will be awarded during the reception quiz game.
- Winners will be announced shortly after the quiz game at the wedding reception is played.
- The winner gets to pick between the three prizes. The second-place winner gets to pick between the two remaining, and the third-place winner gets the last prize.
- Couples bet together.

1. 2 tickets to the Edmonton Oilers for whenever you decide.
2. A dinner date at a favorite restaurant of Kyle and Bronte’s.
3. Spa package in your respective city.

The wedding cake was a delightful masterpiece, perfectly reflecting Kyle and Brontè’s playful and youthful spirits. The cake was a burst of colors, adorned with a whimsical confetti design that mirrored the joyous love shared by the couple.
