A Southern Charm Meets Mediterranean Style in Charleston

Featured Members:

The charm of Charleston, South Carolina, coupled with the aesthetic elegance of Greek culture, served as the canvas for a wedding-styled photoshoot. Each frame of this shoot captured the visual elegance and the spirit of a truly international love story, blending Southern charm with Greek grandeur.

At the heart of the creative process was wedding planner Elizabeth Elkins. The incorporation of blue accents in an all-white wedding inspiration and the choice of olive dresses for the bridesmaids showcased her unique flair for harmonizing colors and themes.

The venue was the historic Society Hall, nestled in downtown Charleston. The color palette was a thoughtful mix of Mediterranean blues, earthy whites, and soft greens, mirroring the serene landscapes of the Greek Isles.

"The crisp whites, verandas, and ionic Greek columns blended with our theme flawlessly.

It all started with a little Greek sandal!

The “Efi” sandal by Kheloni, designed by Rebecca Gradler, who draws inspiration from her Greek heritage. The bride wore a delicately designed gown from Modern Trousseau, holding a bouquet filled with white roses, olive branches, and subtle hints of pink that echoed the romantic setting. The talented team from Silhouette on Site, along with Brie Tallman Hair, crafted a stunning Greek updo adorned with greenery, paired with a warm, natural makeup look.

Pink hues subtly woven through the florals, bridesmaid dresses, and their “Maria” sandal by Kheloni, added a touch of warmth and charm to the setting. The bridesmaids were wearing elegantly simple dresses by Bella Bridesmaids, which complemented the scenic beauty with their flowing fabrics and olive tones. Exquisite gold statement pieces by Polly’s Jewelry enhanced the ethereal beauty of the bride and her party.

The reception featured tables draped in classic white linens, topped with blue patterned china and golden flatware, while lush floral arrangements added vibrant splashes of color and elegance to the ambiance. The decor was layered with antique vases and taper candles of all shapes and sizes giving the table the texture and depth it needed to emulate the Greek Isles,” detailed Elizabeth.

The models, real-life couple and University of South Carolina athletes Luke and Sammy, embodied the roles of bride and groom. Their genuine chemistry shone through, bringing authenticity and warmth to the styled photographs.

We could not have pulled together a better group of souls for this project.

As the shoot wrapped, the couple made a whimsical exit in a vintage 1960s Ford Bronco from WhipDash. Adorned in their stylish and relaxed attire, they radiated happiness. The day transitioned into a beautiful sunset overlooking the Ashley River, capturing the essence of a romantic Greek getaway.

Special thanks to all the amazing vendors that brought this vision to life! Yamas!
