Allison and David, a charming couple from Seattle, wanted their wedding to be inspired by the warm hues of fall. They wanted an intimate and cozy event, surrounded by their closest family and friends. For them, capturing the warmth of the day, their shared love, the touching ceremony, and the heartwarming celebration in photos was important. They chose Alexandrae Photo, who beautifully conveyed the love and emotion of the day. “I wanted images that felt just as intentional as every little detail that Allison and David poured into their special day,” the photographer shared.

The entire wedding took place on the grounds of The Corson Building, an early 1900s home turned thoughtful eatery. The building has a fascinating history, built by an Italian family of stonemasons as their home. The architecture and the surrounding landscape and garden create a European ambiance. Stepping inside the gates feels like being transported to the south of France, with an old and authentic atmosphere, warm and inviting, down to the creaky wood floors and stone fireplace.

Allison’s wedding morning was a blend of excitement and tender moments. She wore an elegant Sarah Seven A-line dress with a low back, crafted from luxurious off-white heavy silk. Allison’s minimal and dewy makeup enhanced her natural beauty, while her hair was styled in a chic low bun with loose, wavy strands framing her face. Adding a touch of edge to her sophisticated look, she chose diamond-encrusted platform heels and chunky gold jewelry.

Allison highlighted one of her favorite parts: My favorite part may have been the paper products because they set the mood long before the day arrived. We used vintage stamps on the envelopes and tied in the imagery from the beautiful Corson Building. It was all just so so good.”

David and his groomsmen shared a toast, enjoying a few moments of relaxation before the big event. He looked stylish and sophisticated, dressed in a well-fitted classic black tuxedo with a black velvet jacket. His outfit was completed with a champagne bow tie and a German watch, adding a touch of personal style. The atmosphere was exciting and joyful as they prepared for the wedding.

The first look between Allison and David was filled with so much love and emotions. The moment their eyes met, their faces lit up with smiles, and they embraced each other warmly. The couple shared a tender kiss and held each other close, savoring the intimate moment before saying, “I Do.”

Allison and David’s ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight and the rustic charm of their venue. The couple exchanged vows beneath a canopy of twinkling string lights and lush greenery, creating a magical atmosphere. Allison shared, “We wrote our own (extremely vulnerable) vows and cried our eyes out for the entirety of the ceremony. My best friend officiated in her adorable New England accent. Anyway—it was raw and real and perfect.” The emotions in their vows and the presence of loved ones made the moment truly unforgettable.

The reception space for Allison and David’s wedding was inspired by rustic elegance. The wooden tables were beautifully set with minimalistic yet chic tableware, each place setting featuring personalized menus and napkins with delicate monograms. Soft, ambient lighting from strings of warm bulbs hung above, casting a romantic glow over the entire space. The floral arrangements were a perfect blend of earthy tones and soft pastels, adding a natural charm to the decor. Elegant candleholders and vases with wildflower bouquets added to the rustic feel, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for the guests.

It was also the most visually stunning event either of us had been to, and we are so proud of how it turned out. Our vendors were the literal dream team, and we are eternally grateful,” commented the newlyweds.

After a brief ceremony and cocktails with hors d’oeuvres, the main event was an intimate, candlelit dinner party in the garden. The string lights, curated playlist, and beautiful tablescape set a perfect mood while old-world wines and gin and tonics flowed freely. The menu featured a five-course, family-style meal crafted from local, seasonal ingredients. About halfway into the first course, a gentle rain shower began. The sound of raindrops on the tent mixed with laughter and clinking glasses created a scene straight out of a movie.

The couple shared: “We really wanted the evening to feel like a dinner party with our closest people. There was non-stop laughter, good music, good food, and good wine. We both remember looking around during dinner and thinking this is exactly what we envisioned. It was a night we will never forget; it was true magic. We felt like we were in a movie all evening, and we had never seen our friends and family more relaxed or more joyful. We may be delusional, but we genuinely believe everyone had the best time, which is all we wanted.”

“We’ve both been to so many weddings, and none of them felt like us. We knew there had to be a way to have a wedding that really reflected who we are as people and not who we think we should be,” concluded Allison.

Their photographer, Alexandrae Photo, was thrilled to work with the newlyweds and capture their special day: “Allison & David’s wedding celebration felt so unique and intentional from the moment I arrived. They created such a luxe dinner party experience for their intimate group of guests, from the multi-course menu to the ambiance & decor. The vibe was cozy and focused on connection – they made sure they could truly connect with every person in attendance. The exchanging of the handwritten vows was surely a highlight – they quoted favorite poems and were extremely vulnerable with each other for all of us to witness. Hearing their vows surely inspired how I captured the remainder of the day as well as my approach to editing their gallery.”
