While traditions have their charm, today’s soon-to-be spouses often seek ways to make their big day feel contemporary and stylish and infuse fresh ideas. Unforgettable Floral, a boutique floral design studio from Texas, aimed to bring a modern touch to this Houston wedding with its natural, elegant designs. They focused on eco-conscious floral mechanics, opting not to use floral foam, making their creations more environmentally friendly.
The team chose an outdoor rooftop venue with a stunning skyscraper backdrop to create a modern atmosphere. They enhanced the surrounding beauty with elegant decorations and added softness through their color palette. For the flowers,they went for a moody take on pastels, incorporating golden and mauve tones with traditional pastels, resulting in a chic and colorful display. “We kept the ceremony space simple with meadows to allow the Houston skyline to be the backdrop of the ceremony,” shares Bobbi Padgett, the founder of Unforgettable Floral.
The vibrant pop of flowers accentuated the bride’s radiant appearance. Her A-silhouette dress seamlessly complemented the modern backdrop, while every detail contributed to an overall glamorous atmosphere. The groom’s boutonniere added charm and vitality to his dark blue suit. Together, the couple exuded harmony, brightening their surroundings with love.
A captivating hanging installation was placed above the head table and dance floor. It includes a variety of flowers in warm and cool tones, such as cheerful yellow chrysanthemums, pink and peach roses, delicate blue delphiniums, and pink snapdragons. The greenery, featuring lush leaves and vines, adds a natural, wild, and abundant feel. The overall effect is both enchanting and uplifting, transforming the space into a magical floral wonderland.
Below the hanging installation, the table is adorned with matching floral centerpieces and tall candles in clear holders, enhancing the overall aesthetic and creating a cohesive look. Tulips, clematis, ranunculus, and roses in warm yellows, pinks, peaches, and vibrant reds create a delightful and festive atmosphere.
The team at Unforgettable Floral selected contemporary clear acrylic boxes and sophisticated candlesticks for the tablescape to complement the floral design and create a fresh and airy look.
Additionally, the team embraced a more non-traditional trend with a chic coffee bar and champagne tower. These unique elements transformed the venue into an ideal place to celebrate your occasion.
