Time of planning: 11 months
Number of guests: 60

Will and Taylor’s love story began when they first connected on Bumble, but it wasn’t an immediate happily ever after. After a few fun dates, including trivia at Dodies on Lower Greenville and a hockey game in the nosebleeds, they parted ways. Fate kept bringing them back together a year after when Will sent Taylor another Bumble message, reigniting their connection.
A Valentine’s trip to Mexico, unexpectedly extended by a historic Texas freeze, became the turning point for their relationship. Spending ten unplanned days together cemented their bond and made them realize they had something special. Over time, Will won over Taylor’s family during a Fourth of July lake house trip, while Taylor charmed Will’s family and close friends during holiday gatherings. Their shared love of travel became central to their relationship, taking them to Italy, Spain, Thailand, and beyond. When Will finally proposed in Turks & Caicos, despite Taylor’s suspicions and the rain, their adventurous journey together reached a new milestone, setting the stage for their beautiful destination wedding in Cyprus.
Location & Planning
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Anassa Hotel in Latchi, Cyprus, Will and Taylor’s wedding was a dream destination come to life. The couple envisioned an event so classic and timeless that it would remain iconic no matter the era. From a three-day itinerary featuring a boat day to the Blue Lagoon and a sunset welcome dinner in Paphos, to the main celebration overlooking the Mediterranean, their wedding embodied elegance and energy.
Planning a wedding from thousands of miles away could have been a daunting task, but Weddings by Elizabeth Anne turned the process into a seamless experience. The planner skillfully transformed the couple’s vision into reality, connecting them with exceptional vendors and helping bring unique touches, like the imaginative “Dr. Seuss-inspired” green-and-white florals, to life.
Bridal Morning
Taylor’s wedding morning began surrounded by her closest friends and family. With soft, natural light streaming into her suite, Makeup by Lauren worked her magic, enhancing Taylor’s radiant beauty with a timeless, glowing look. Her soft curls, styled by Natalia Paris, framed her face perfectly, adding an effortless elegance to her bridal appearance.
For her wedding look, Taylor chose a stunning Essence of Australia dress from the 2025 trunk show. The sleek mermaid silhouette featured intricate pearl detailing and a plunging neckline, striking a balance between simplicity and sophistication. She completed the look with delicate pearl heels and minimal accessories, ensuring every detail exuded classic elegance. Her bouquet, designed by Enchanted, reflected her unique taste, with green-and-white florals styled in whimsical, textured shapes. Every element of Taylor’s ensemble embodied her vision of timeless beauty, making her look unforgettable as she stepped into her special day.
Groom's Fashion
Will looked sharp and sophisticated in a custom deep green tuxedo with black detailing, designed by a bespoke clothier he and Taylor discovered during their travels in Thailand. Paired with a white shirt, a classic black bowtie, and polished black shoes, his ensemble showed timeless style with a modern twist. The tux was completed with a sleek boutonniere of white florals, perfectly complementing the wedding’s elegant aesthetic and Taylor’s stunning look.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place on a picturesque terrace overlooking the breathtaking Mediterranean Sea. The decor was a vision of elegance, with Enchanted designing extraordinary floral arrangements that captured Taylor’s unique vision. Whimsical green-and-white florals, inspired by Dr. Seuss, added an imaginative twist to the classic aesthetic, with interesting shapes and textures that created a striking yet cohesive design.
The aisle was lined with lush greenery and delicate blooms, framing the setting perfectly against the serene ocean backdrop. The simplicity of the decor allowed the natural beauty of Cyprus to shine through, elevating the romantic vibe of the ceremony.
To make the experience even more memorable, guests were invited to participate in a playful game: “Every wedding we go to, we do bets, so we had a fun betting card for our guests to bet on our big day as well.” The ceremony blended emotional sincerity with lighthearted fun, setting the perfect tone for the joyous festivities ahead.
"We wanted our guests to feel a part of the relationship and see what we see in each other while still having elements of our faith."
Taylor, the bride
Private Moment
After the ceremony, Taylor and Will shared a quiet moment together on the stunning grounds of the resort, soaking in the joy of their special day. The talented team at Thimisy beautifully captured these intimate moments, highlighting the couple’s genuine emotions and the breathtaking Mediterranean backdrop. Every frame reflected not just the elegance of the day but also the depth of their connection, creating timeless memories they will cherish forever.
Decor & Cocktails
During the cocktail hour, guests mingled on the terrace, surrounded by vibrant pink blooms and navy seating accented with chic geometric patterns, creating a refined yet comfortable atmosphere. A live band added to the ambiance, with a saxophonist and guitarist providing smooth tunes that set the perfect tone for the evening. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails, such as the elegant espresso martini, while savoring the warm Cypriot breeze and soaking in the breathtaking ocean views.
The reception was held in the village square of the hotel, with the charming white chapel as the backdrop. The planner, Weddings by Elizabeth Anne, did an exceptional job bringing the reception decor to life, seamlessly combining elegance with the natural charm of the venue. Long tables were adorned with whimsical centerpieces featuring green and white florals. The soft beige linens and gold-rimmed glassware added a sophisticated touch, while the twinkling string lights above reflected beautifully off the mirrored dance floor, which displayed the couple’s initials and wedding date. The natural stone flooring and wooden chairs complemented the Mediterranean charm, creating an inviting yet elevated space for guests to enjoy dinner and celebrations under the stars.
Reception
The couple made a grand entrance to Kygo’s “For Life,” igniting the atmosphere with cold flames that set the celebratory tone. The cake, a simple yet elegant two-tiered design decorated with fresh florals, was cut in front of the mirrored dance floor, surrounded by cheers from their loved ones. Heartfelt speeches by their closest friends and family added an emotional touch, with reflections of twinkling light dancing around the square, making the moment even more magical.
The highlight of the evening was the couple’s first dance, performed under a canopy of lights to the backdrop of the romantic chapel. Their graceful spins and joyous expressions captured the love they shared, as cold sparks lit up the mirrored dance floor. The energy of the night was amplified by the incredible live performance of The Upshots, a band flown in from London. Their electrifying set had guests on their feet, dancing the night away, creating an unforgettable celebration.
"The most memorable moment from the wedding day was being on the dance floor with all our people."
Taylor, the bride
Advice from the couple:
• Have a destination wedding! Everyone is in a different mindset on vacation and we had the best time basically on a giant group trip with all the people we love. We also had a ton of our friends join us on the front end of our honeymoon and that was a blast!
