Eight years after meeting in history class, Ashley and Matt finally tied the knot at Skycamp at Crystal Mountain Resort. After Matt walked Ashley back to her dorm one day, she knew they would get married, and she was right. Over the years, they’ve adventured together, moved across the country, and raised Whiskey, their sweet pup. They wanted their wedding to show off what they love to the people they love.

One year of planning brought us to celebrate Ashley and Matt at Crystal Mountain Resort with a whole weekend of fun. The guest’s experience started with custom invitations by Olympic Place Prints, complete with a custom sketch of Mount Rainer; the fifty close family members and friends who attended knew precisely what they were in for.

Skycamp is an Under Canvas setup, meaning they got to spend their wedding weekend glamping with their guests! The weekend started with a chair lift, or ATV ride up to the top of the mountain, followed by appetizers, drinks, a quick ceremony rehearsal, a welcome dinner, and then a fun evening of slide shows, videos, campfires, and s’mores!

The wedding day began in the main lodge, where the ladies got ready with the help of Kayla Kollection and Lolo Styles , a talented makeup and hair artist. Kayla and Lolo skillfully brought Ashley’s vision to life. Ashley opted for a natural style and an elegant updo for her hair.

Christinna’s Bridal unveils an elegant bride dress with a lace-adorned bodice, exuding timeless romance. The gown’s highlight is its striking train, gracefully trailing behind and adding a regal touch to this beautifully crafted ensemble.

While the bride was getting ready, the gentlemen and family enjoyed quality time in nature. Activities like hiking, ultimate frisbee, and gondola rides were among the options for family and friends to engage in before the evening ceremony. This thoughtful pre-wedding experience allowed everyone to bond and create cherished memories before coming together to celebrate the special occasion later in the day.

Once it was time to get started, Ashley made her way to meet Matt for their first look in her stunning flowing lace gown from Christinna’s Bridal.

Following photos with friends, family, and Whiskey, it was time for the ceremony to take place! The wedding party framed the ceremony perfectly in grey suits and terra cotta dresses to stand out against the picture-perfect mountain backdrop.

Against an idyllic mountain backdrop, the ceremony gained an extra touch of enchantment with the most incredible ground arch fashioned by Oak and Fig Floral Design. The florist’s artistry wove natural beauty seamlessly into the landscape, creating an awe-inspiring focal point for exchanging vows.

The ceremony was a culmination of sensual moments, a tapestry of emotions woven together as the couple exchanged vows surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. Every word spoken and every glance shared were threads in a narrative of love, and the atmosphere was charged with a palpable sense of connection.

Captured with finesse, the editing process transformed these moments into a visual symphony, emphasizing the tenderness exchanged between the couple and the genuine emotions radiating from their loved ones.

A standout moment of the day, as Ashley and Matt, Emily B, the exceptional photographer, and Reggie Ann, the incredible videographer embarked on a chair lift journey to the summit of Crystal Mountain. With Mount Rainier as the breathtaking backdrop, they indulged in champagne and captured golden hour photos that would forever encapsulate the magic of their wedding day.

Ashley, possessing her as a photographer, invested time in selecting the perfect photographer and videographer for their special day. It wasn’t just about technical skill; it was about finding artists who shared a love for adventure, possessed a remarkable eye for detail, and could infuse joy into every moment. In Emily B and Reggie Ann, Ashley found a duo that not only met but exceeded these expectations, delivering a visual masterpiece that perfectly mirrored the spirit of their celebration. Their collaborative efforts immortalized the essence of love, adventure, and joy, turning moments into memories that would be cherished for a lifetime.

Inside the lodge, guests would be seated at long farm tables covered in greenery and white roses to add some color to the upscale rustic interior. Ashley and Matt trusted the logistics and the design to their planner, AnneMarie, of Something Blue Productions, and she delivered on their vision! Every detail was carefully thought out to bring the vision to life, from the flowers to the color-coded ribbons on the place cards, created by Olympic Place Prints, and there was no better to handle the logistics of getting all of these vendors up the mountain to create a dreamy day!

AnneMarie even helped bring the most beautiful and delicious cake from Sift and Gather up the mountain. The cake, adorned with an array of flowers, became a delectable centerpiece that mirrored the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

As the lovebirds took to the dance floor for their first dance, an unexpected yet heartwarming addition unfolded. Their faithful pup Whiskey, adorned with a charm and charisma of its own, joined the couple in a dance that added an extra layer of love to the celebration. The gentle sway of the lovebirds intertwined with the playful movements of their furry companion, creating a tableau of affection and joy.

The dinner unfolded as a symphony of flavors and emotions, each dish meticulously crafted to tell a story of love and celebration. The tables were adorned with delicate flowers and softly glowing candles, setting the stage for a culinary journey infused with warmth.

The night evolved into an epic dance party, guided by the skilled beats of DJ Vega from Integral DJs. The dance floor became a pulsating canvas where joy, rhythm, and celebration converged. Each track carefully curated by DJ Vega became a heartbeat, propelling the night forward with an energy that resonated throughout the venue.

The festivities continued into the night with a playful series of photos taken around the tents, capturing moments of joy and spontaneity. Among the highlights was a spirited pillow fight that added a touch of whimsy to the celebration. Additionally, the night took a humorous turn with “Shrek” photos, creatively incorporating the outhouses into the theme. These light-hearted and entertaining snapshots became cherished memories, reflecting the lively and carefree atmosphere that defined this joyous occasion. It was definitely a one of a kind wedding to remember for everyone involved!
